White Spring Jacket

My spring jacket series continues with this white spring jacket my husband bought me when we were in Boulder, Colorado for a wedding.  Last time I wore it with a blue and white polka dress, you can see that post HERE.

And for those of you new to my spring jacket series, it all started with this post HERE, where I said I had a plethora of spring and fall jackets that I rarely wear.  Since then I've been on a mission to wear every jacket in my closet at least once before the weather gets to warm.  This is the third spring jacket post in the series.  In my last spring jacket post, I shared a brown leather jacket HERE, today I am wearing a white one.

This is an outfit I wore on a chilly spring day to have lunch with my husband and shopping.  It's basically just skinny, ankle length jeans (St. Johns Bay, old), a chunky, textured top from Stitch Fix (last seen HERE), a black and grey plaid scarf, black suede wedges (Famous Footwear, old), and of course, a white faux-leather jacket.

I kept my jacket on all day, because it was cold and windy!  But I did want you to see what the top looked like without the jacket on.  It is short sleeve, with cuffs, and is a very boxy style.  It's not the most flattering top because of it's thickness and shape, but I still like to wear it.  It perfect for chilly spring days when you need something a little heavier, but because it has short sleeves it's not overly warm.

Here you can see the texture and the pattern in the scarf better.

The suede wedges shoes are very comfortable to walk in.

Here are some back views of the jacket.  It has partial peplum back and zippers on the sleeves and pockets.

And on a side note, in my very first jacket post I stated that I buy these jackets because I often find them for as little as $6.00 and I can't resist.  Jennie from "A Pocketful ofPolka Dots" even jokingly offered to send me money to pick a few coats for her!

Well look at this beauty I picked up on Friday from JCP.

Isn't it gorgeous?   I love the quilted details and the fur collar.  It looks awesome on,  but I won't feature this baby in a fashion post until fall.  I just wanted to show you the awesome coats you can get at a great discount during the off-season.

This was originally a $150.00 coat marked down to $19.97.  The Friday I purchased this coat, JCP had a special 25% off clearance special which brought the cost of the coat down to $14.97.  Then,  I had a $10.00 off coupon I received in the mail, which brought the total cost of the coat down to $4.98!  Don't believe me?  Here's my receipt to prove it!  Smart shopping pays off!

Have a Great Day!  Amy

  4. What an amazing deal you got on that jacket from JCP! I need to shop more often!!
Love the outfit you're wearing here, these type of jackets are my favorite! Your new hair cut looks great too, love how there is a little bit of wave in the hair. What hair products are you using with this cut? My hair tends to have a mind of its own, it's a bit wavy unless I straighten it, but the waves are so messy that it won't look nice, so I always end up straightening it which makes my hair dry. Hope you'll do another hair post soon :-)
