Wink Wink Ink 'Love Grows'

Hello! Today I have another Valentine Wink Wink Ink image to show you called 'Love Grows'. As usual, I made a card and a treat box. Here is the completed set: And here is a picture of just the card. I used a simple sketch from the Clean and Simple Blog I sewed the white panel on with my Sewing Machine. The paper is by My Minds Eye. The heart is a felt button from JoAnn's.

And here is the treat box. I got the idea and directions from Caroyn King's Blog. The box is such a simple design and literally took only minutes to put together.
I fit a small baggie of M&M's inside the box. I cut the sentiment heart with a Spellbinder's Nestability and added another felt heart for embellishment.

Teacher's Gift

Hello! A week or so ago I shared THIS POST about a Masculine Altered Frame I made as a Christmas Gift for a friend's husband. Well today's post is the Christmas Gift I made for my friend Sandy. Sandy is a school teacher, so I decided to make her something school related. I had already accumulated all these 'school themed' cards that I made awhile ago, so I thought it would be great to make a little tote to put all the cards into. I figured since Sandy is a teacher, she would know plenty of other teachers to give the cards to. Pictured below is the completed ensemble. Here is the tote with the cards tucked neatly inside. All the paper is DCWV 'The Grade School Stack'. I designed the tote myself. I wish I could give you detailed instructions, but to be perfectly honest, I don't remember how I made it. I simply played around with a piece of 12 x 12 red card stock till I got the look I wanted and it was the right size to hold my cards. I then cut out some handles out of the same card stock and adhered them to the box with eyelets. The tag was made out of the same DCWV Stack and I used my Cricut Expression to cut the apple.
Here is a side view so you can see the depth of the box.

I also threw in a mini back pack filled with chocolates. This tutorial is on SCS.

All these cards were made a long time ago. The first two use a Digital Stamp Oasis image.

This image is by KLM Digital Designs. The sentiment is retired Stampin UP!

And finally, this card uses a very old My Favorite Things Stamp Set.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my little gift set today!
Have a great day! Amy

"Young Lovers"

Hello! Today I have a new Fairydoodler image to show you called 'Young Lovers'. It is sold at McMahon Five Designs. I was immediately drawn to this image the minute I saw it because the couple in the image reminded me so much of my daughter and son-in-law. I don't know why, Ashley looks nothing like the girl in the image; I think it's just the 'sweetness' of the couple and the fact that she's wearing a dress. My daughter never wears pants, and lives in high heels and dresses, much to my chagrin. I'm the opposite of Ashley when it comes to apparel, my philosophy is 'warmth and comfort before beauty'! LOL!

To make my card, I used an old sketch by Silke Ledlow (C4C61) and Bo Bunny designer paper 'Crazy Love'. The hearts are foam hearts from JoAnn's and the Button sentiment is from McMahon Five Designs. Here is a close up for you to see this cute couple better:

And here are all the new images being released at McMahon Five Designs this week:

Hello and welcome to another Digital Tuesday Challenge. This week's challenge is a Sketch Challenge. Simply make a card or scrapbook page using the sketch pictured below and at least one digital element. Our sponsor this week is Stamp Fairy and they are giving away 3 digis to one lucky randomly chosen winner.

To make my card, I used the Stamp Fairy image "Betty". My paper is Crafty Secrets 'Pastels". I added Crocheted Flowers and buttons for embellishment. I put a pearl in the center of each flower too! Here is the sketch:
And here is a close up of the main image.

Every month McMahon Five Designs creates a new breast cancer digital image that they give away FREE to help spread awareness of this disease, and to also encourage women to do their monthly self exams. Wink Wink Ink's "Light Hearted"

Hello! I have a new Wink Wink Ink image to show you called 'Light Hearted'. It arrived just in time for Valentine's Day, but I think it would be a great image for birthdays, get well, or any occasion where you might just want to lift some one's spirits. Since Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I decided to make a Valentine Card and Treat Bag Holder. You will be seeing lots of Valentine Treat Bags from me in the next few weeks. Even though I have 'adult children', I still send them packages in the mail for Valentines Day, Easter, etc. and therefore am always making them fun little treat bags!

Here is a picture of the completed set. I used Riding Hood Red paper from Stampin Up and Bo Bunny designer paper. The sketch for my card is from Splitcoaststampers (SC316). I put Crystal Effects on the balloon to make it shiny and I also popped it up on dimensionals. The other hearts are foam pieces from JoAnn's.
And here is my treat bag. It was super easy to make. I just followed the instructions from a tutorial on Splitcoaststampers. It's basically just an envelope of card stock with a plastic bag inside filled with candy. I put Sweet Tarts inside the bag.

More foam hearts by JoAnn's for embellishment. The punch border is Stampin Up! I used Wink Wink Ink's pre-colored image for the treat bag, and the black and white image for my card.

And finally a close up so you can see the image, dimension, and crystal effects better.

Penny Black "All You Need is Love"

Hello! Today I have a simple card to show you that I made for the Penny Black All Sorts Challenge Blog. This month's challenge is 'All You Need is Love'; perfectly in time for Valentine's Day! I used one of my new Cuttlebug Cut and Emboss Folders and last years Penny Black Valentine's images for my card. I put Stickles and pearls on the embossed portion of the card. The chipboard embellie was purchased from JoAnn's. The tag was made with a Cuttlebug die.

McMahon Five Designs 'Meadows Sunset'

Hello! This week I have a new McMahon Five Designs Vintage image to show you called 'Meadows Sunset' that is perfect for Valentines Day Cards, wedding, or anniversary cards. For my project this week, I decided to make both a treat holder and a matching card. I will probably give it to my daughter and son-in-law for Valentines Day. Ashley loves anything vintage. Hopefully she won't see this post before then and spoil the surprise. Here is the completed project:
And here is a picture of just the card. The paper is a new DCWV stack called 'The Botanical Stack'. It is filled with beautiful floral and bird prints that you will hate to cut into! I'm telling you, the papers are so gorgeous you could wallpaper a room with them! LOL! The vertical trim is called Prima Jemie Ribbon and is also available at McMahon Five Designs.
If your wondering how I made my treat holder, I simply covered an old Reese's Heart box with the pretty paper from the Botanicals Stack. I always save interesting boxes that I think I might be able to 'recycle' into something else. This box I saved from last year! I laid the cover of the box on the back of the paper and traced the heart and cut it out. I used Modge Podge as my adhesive. I then cut a piece of coordinating paper from the stack to use as the edge and glued that on. From then it was just embellishing with lace, vintage velvet ribbon, pearls, and primas. Here is a view of the box 'before'.

And here is the completed side view of the box.

This is the top view, with the box lid slightly off so you can see the candy inside. I filled it back up with FRESH Reese's heart candies.

And finally a full top view so you can get a better look at the paper, embellies, and image. I colored the image with Prismacolored pencils and gamosol.

Here is a close up so you can see the coloring in more detail.

And now, here are all the new images being released this week:
