Cased February Christmas Cards

Hello!  Today I have my February Christmas Cards. As most of you already know, I play the Christmas Card Challenge on Splitcoaststampers where we make Christmas Cards all year long so we don't have to make any during the busy holiday season.  I make four Christmas Cards a month so that I'll have about fifty at the end of the year.
With the month of February being so short, I  unfortunately have no original ideas for my cards;I just wanted to get them done,  so I cased some of my favorite cards of some new stamps I just purchased.

My first card I cased from the fabulous Jodi Collins.  I kept the exact same layout and glittered the ball with Crystal Effects and glitter just like she did (what a fabulous idea, it really works well).  The only thing I changed was the papers and button.

This card was cased from Silke Ledlow.  I kept the same layout, but changed all the papers and colors.
This card was cased from Barbara Anders. I loved how she didn't color her image.  I thought that was so effective.  It really makes the ornament and the meaning of the sentiment stand out.  I changed the ribbon treatment and papers on my card, but obviously kept the same layout and concept.  The ornament was cut out of white paper and covered in glitter, then glued back on the the main image panel.
And finally my last card was cased from one of my favorite stampers Dawn Burnworth.  I kept the same layout, but changed the paper, trims, and Nesties to what I already had in stock.

Digital Tuesday Challenge 'Birthdays'

Hello and welcome to another Digital Tuesday Challenge.  This week's challenge is 'Birthdays'.  Simply make a card or project with a birthday theme and be sure to include at least one digital element.  Our sponsor this week is Spesch Designer Stamps and they are giving away 3 digis to one lucky randomly chosen winner.

To make my card, I used the Spesch Designer Stamp image 'Sophie Digital Stamp', and a sketch by Splitcoaststampers (SC423).   The paper is from K & Co 'Confetti' and the sentiment is K & Co 'Birthday Words Grand Adhesions'.  I put crystal effects on the balloons.

Felt Designs

Hello!  Today I have a couple of cards to show you that use purchased felt shapes as the main image instead of stamped images or digis.  I absolutely love felt...it just oozes cuteness and charm to me, so when I spotted these pre-made felt images at JoAnn's Fabrics and Crafts, I just had to buy them.  You can find felt images in the seasonal/holiday aisles, and also in the Kid's Crafts sections and the dollar bins at JoAnn's.  The two felt images pictured below were found in the Valentines Craft Aisle.

Both cards use the same Clean and Simple Sketch from Splitcoaststampers (SC422).  My first card  uses a cupcake image.  To mimic the heart on the cupcake, I embossed the Kraft panel with a Cuttlebug Heart Embossing Folder.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts, and the designer paper is unknown.

My second card also uses a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder for the white background.  The designer paper is DCWV 'Lemon Flower'.  And my sentiment is also from the dollar bins at JoAnn's.  It says 'I could wag my tail' on the inside of the card.
Using felt images is so quick and easy.  You don't even need glue! Just peel off the paper backing on the back of the image, and stick it right to your card.  Give it a try!

Digital Tuesday Challenge 'Pink and White'

Hello and welcome to another Digital Tuesday Challenge.  This week's challenge is a color challenge:  simply make a card or project with the colors pink and white, and be sure to include at least one digital element.  Our sponsor this week is 'Some Odd Girl' and they are giving away three digis to one lucky randomly chosen winner.

To make my card, I used the Heather Ellis Pure Innocence Digital Image 004.  I embossed the main white panel with a heart Cuttlebug Embossing Folder.  The frame around the image was made with a Spellbinder Nestabilitie.  The heart is a felt button purchased at JoAnn's Fabrics and Crafts.  The sentiment is computer generated and the tag was made with a Martha Stewart Punch.

Two Cards, Same Sketch

Hello!  I really liked the interesting sketch on Splitcoaststampers (SC419) a couple of weeks ago, so I made two cards with it.  Both cards use images from Daydream Designs (which is now closed and no longer open for business), but the digi papers are still available HERE

My first card is a Valentine Card that I sent to my daughter and her husband.  All the papers and images are digital.  A red felt button and red ribbon are the only embellishments.

.
For my second card, I embossed the white background with a snowflake patterned embossing folder.  The felt snowflakes were purchased at JoAnn's Fabrics and Crafts.
Hope you enjoyed seeing two completely different cards made with the same sketch.

Kisses

Happy Valentine's Day!  I pray everyone has a wonderful day today and feels loved.  In honor of Valentine's Day I have a romantic card to show you that I made for a couple in my church celebrating their anniversary. The digital image is from The Paper Shelter and is called 'Kisses'.  I used a Heart Border Nestabilitie for the frame.  I also popped it up on dimensionals to make it stand out more.  The paper is Bo Bunny and the felt button heart was purchased at Joann's Fabric and Crafts.

Here's a close up so you can see the image better.  I colored the image with Copic Markers.

Digital Tuesday Challenge 'Up, Up, and Away!'

Hello and welcome to another Digital Tuesday Challenge!  This week's challenge is called 'Up, Up, and Away'.  Simply make a card or project that has something to do with being up in the air: angels, clouds, birds, balloons, etc!  Use your imagination, and be sure to include at least one digital element.  Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps.

To make my card, I used the Bugaboo Stamp image 'Kidz Girl - Hot Air Balloon'.  I printed the image twice, cut the whole image out the first time, and then cut just the head out the second time and popped it up on dimensionals.  I stamped a PTI sentiment inside the Balloon.  The inside of the card says 'Happy Birthday'.  The sketch is from The Sweet Stop (SSS107) but is turned sideways.  The designer paper is from Lime Twist and is called 'Fly a Kite'.  So appropriate for today's challenge....don't you think?

Another Get Well Card

Hello!  Today I have another Get Well Card to show you.  A sweet elderly lady in my church fell down and broke her arm on one of our many slippery ice and snow covered side walks we have here in Wisconsin this time of year.  I was so happy to hear that she didn't have to wait too long in the cold before someone came and rescued her.  PTL!  She is very limited in her mobility now and said she can't do much but sit in her recliner all day, so I thought I'd send her a cheerful little card.  This adorable Crafty Secrets Duckling with his pretty tulips is certainly cheerful, don't you think?  He is from the set "Feeling Yucky?"

My sketch is from The Deconstructed Sketch and the paper is DCWV 'The Homespun Matstack'.  The inside of the card says 'just ducky'.  Isn't that cute?

Happy Anniversary Balloon

Hello!  I needed an Anniversary Card for a couple at my church and these new love balloons from Daydream Designs were perfect for the occasion.  This set is called 'Love Lifts You Color Digis'  It comes with sentiments inside the balloons and without a sentiment if you want to stamp own sentiment like I did.  It also includes four coordinating digi papers.  The set is also available in outline only.

To make my card I printed out the balloon and cut it out.  I stamped a Inkadinkado sentiment inside the balloon.  The clouds are MFT dies and the designer paper is Bo Bunny.

Digital Tuesday Challenge 'Hearts'

Hello and welcome to another Digital Tuesday Challenge.  This week's challenge is Hearts!  Simply make a card or project with hearts on it, and be sure to include at least one digital element.  Our sponsor this week is  Sans Designs.  This week's prize one random winner will receive - 5 digis and if we reach 50 participants  there will be a runners up prize of 2 digis.

To make my card, I used the Sans Design Digital Image 'Love Bunting'.  My sketch is from The Deconstructed Sketch (sketch 66).  I created my own background paper by stamping a MFT heart all over the pink panel.  The sentiment is also from MFT.  The large felt heart was purchased in the Valentine Craft aisle at JoAnn's Fabrics and Crafts.  The blue hearts were leftovers from another project when I used a Nestabilities Border Heart Punch.  A doily was used for the circular panel.
Here is a close up of these little cuties for you:  I put some glitter glue on the heart for an extra added touch.

Comfy Chenille

Hello!  Today I have a card to show you that I made for a lady at my church who had not been to services for a couple of weeks because she had a bad cold.  I pulled out this old MFT image because I thought it was perfect for a non-serious illness and would help anyone feel better soon.  I paper pieced the robe by stamping the robe onto pink card stock and then running it through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder to make it look like chenille.  The sketch is by MFT (MFTWSC99).  I added pom pom trim for more coziness.

Have a great day! Amy
