My Easter Outfit

I normally do not post an outfit until after I wear it, but I wanted to show you what I plan on wearing for Easter in case anyone is still shopping or looking for ideas.

I own a lot of short skirts,  but I have been wanting to incorporate midi skirts into my wardrobe for awhile now.  When I discovered this beauty at Francesca's I knew it would be going home with me.

I bought it only a few weeks ago in a store in Florida, but I have been unable to find it in their on-line store.

It is such a pretty eyelet skirt in the popular dusty blue color.  The color and feminine style make it the perfect Easter outfit.

My cutout top is by Liz Claiborne and is sold at J.C. Penney.  They had amazing sales last weekend, and I was able to snatch it up for only around $13.00!!!!

I have had several readers go to JCP after seeing all the deals and great items I purchased and yet leave the store empty handed because they couldn't find anything.  Here are my tips for shopping at JCP:

1.  Shop on Fridays after 3:00 and/or before Saturday at 1:00.  That's when they have their door busters the best sales.

2.  Use coupons...they work even on sales items.  If you don't have any,  just bring the website right up on your smart phone, and they scan the coupons right off your phone.

3.  Shop by brand.  J.C. Penney stores are laid out by brands.  Each section of the store carries a specific brand.  My favorite J.C.P brands are a.n.a,  Stylus, Belle & Sky, and Liz Claiborne.

The top is quite sheer, so I wore a camisole underneath.

I carried a pink clutch from Charming Charlie's and wore a simple white beaded bracelet on my wrist.

My only complaint about this skirt is the side zipper has no hook and eye, so I will be sewing one on myself later this week.  Without a hook and eye, the zipper keeps opening.

Isn't the embroidery and cut outs in this top pretty?

I wore nude wedge sandals by 9 West (old).

Because the neckline of the top is already so ornate, I didn't wear a necklace and just added dramatic, pearl drop earrings (old).

If your wondering where I will be wearing this pretty outfit, my husband and I will be traveling to Milwaukee to attend our old church's Easter musical and Sunday morning service.  We will then go out for lunch afterwards.

So what will are your Easter plans?  Do you know what you will be wearing yet?
I'd love to hear from you!

Have a great day!  Amy

  12. I haven't gone to Francesca's in ages. That skirt alone makes me want to go ASAP. I need it. Too bad about the hook and eye though, I agree with you - every skirt, dress and pants needs those.

I absolutely love it with the white eyelet blouse. Makes the look even more feminine and perfect for Easter. I also need that top but will buy it in the light pink. I do all those things you mentioned too. I also love JC Penney's as you know. A.n.a and Liz Claiborne are two favorite brands of mine too and I also love Worthington and the MNG by Mango, will check out the other ones.

Thank you so much for linking up. I hope you had a great Easter in Milwaukee cause you sure looked gorgeous Amy!
