Boy or Girl Birthday Cards

Well as always I was pressed for time this week because I'm STILL decorating my house for Christmas.  I know everyone else is done already;  I've seen all the beautiful pictures on Facebook, Instagram, and Blogs.  But I was on vacation the week of Thanksgiving so I couldn't even start decorating till December 1st!  At the rate I'm going, I'll be lucky if I'm done decorating by Christmas Eve.  But I hope to finish up this weekend and then share pictures with you later next week.

In the meantime, I had quite a few birthdays this week to make cards for so I needed something quick and easy.  And guess what?  Instead of casing a card, I came up with my own design for once!  YIPEE!  I haven't done that in ages because I'm always pressed for time.

Here is the CAS design I created.  I made a "Boy" version and a "Girl" version of the same design.

First up, the "Boy" version.  I stamped the cake image all over the card using a Stamp-a-ma-jig and masculine colors.  The ink colors are Green Galore, Tangerine Tango, and Brilliant Blue.  I also used Brilliant Blue card stock for my card base.

The sentiment is from Studio G and is popped up on dimensionals.  I cut the square shapes with Spellbinder's Nestabilities.

The cake image is retired Stampin' Up! "Something to Celebrate"  and is available for sale HERE.

For the "Girls" card, all I did was change the paper and ink colors and add a little sparkle.

The ink colors are Pixie Pink, Lovely Lilac and Yo Yo Yellow.  The card stock base color is also Pixie Pink.

I put Stickles on the diamonds in the cake image and added one adhesive crystal to the sentiment.

Have a great day!  Amy
