If you remember THIS POST, I mentioned that I have been rediscovering my old Stampin' Up! catalogs. For years these catalogs have sat on my shelf ignored because the ideas in them were dated. But like everything in this world, whatever is old is new again and I have been finding these catalogs very resourceful now. Today's post is another "catty case". I really liked the simple, yet detailed design of the sketch, plus, I already had all the stamps, so I made two cards using the same sketch but different stamps in the set and different colors.
First up, a blue and yellow Thank You Card. The main image in both cards is from retired SU! "Figures of Speech". I also used retired SU! "Itty Bitty Backgrounds" and "Background Basics" in both cards.
I stamped the background stamp in Versamark on the yellow panel and in Brocade Blue over the main image. The main image panel is mounted up on dimensional so the ribbon can fit behind hit.
The sentiment is stamped in Brocade Blue ink directly on the card base. It is from MFT "Flopsey Flowers". The little flower was made with a Cuttlebug die.
The card stock colors are white, Ballet Blue and So Saffron.
My next card is a birthday card. The same concept was used in creating the first card, but the main image, colors, and sentiment changed.
The shapes in both cards were cut with Spellbinder's Nestabilities.
The sentiment is from PTI "Four of a Kind". Ink colors are Pretty in Pink and Elegant Eggplant.
The card stock colors are white, Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake and Wisteria Wonder.

These are really nice Amy. Loving the sketch and the stamps are so cute. I will have to remember to look through my catalogs too, they surely are full of inspiration and not as overwhelming as the internet can be.
