Digital Tuesday Challenge 'Girly'

Hello and welcome to another Digital Tuesday Challenge.  This week's challenge is 'Girly'!  Simply make a card or project that would appeal to the females in your life, and be sure to include at least one digital element.  Our sponsor this week is Tiddly Inks.

To make my card, I used the Tiddly Inks image Wryn 'Grow a Little Love' and the MFT sketch (MFTWSC81).  My paper is My Mind's Eye 'Lime Twist'.  The flower embellishment is from the dollar bins at JoAnn's Fabrics and Crafts.  I added Stickles to the flowers in the pot.

Digital Tuesday Challenge ' A Christmas Color Challenge'

Hello and welcome to another Digital Tuesday Challenge.  This week's challenge is 'A Christmas Color Challenge'.  Simply make a card or project for Christmas that uses the colors White, Blue, and Kraft.  Our sponsor this week is Spesch Designer Stamps and they are giving away three digis to one lucky randomly chosen winner.

To make my card, I used the Spesch Designer Digital Image 'Kei with Santa Sack'.  My sketch is by Nina B. Designs.  My paper is DCWV Holiday Collection Winter Matstack.  The sentiment is from MFT 'Merry Christmas' and so is the tag die.  Glitter ribbon, crocheted lace, and buttons were added for embellishment.  I also put Flower Soft on her hat and a Pom Pom.

You Warm My Heart

Hello!  Today I have a cozy winter card to show you even though it's going to be in the upper forties/low fifties in Northwestern Wisconsin this weekend.  The hunters sure won't be happy about that!  It's opening deer hunting season this weekend and they don't like warm temperatures because they have to worry about the meat spoiling too fast before they can get it home and processed ( a little side note for all you city folk.  And 'no' for all the animal lovers out there,  I don't hunt, I actually despise the sport, but unfortunately I live in the prime hunting county of the state of Wisconsin and I have to deal with the hanging dead carcasses and all the guns and intrusion of blaze orange on my little village every year).  Anyway, onto my card.  I used images, paper and sentiments by Daydream Designs.  The main image is from the set 'Sweet Warm Ups', the sentiment is from the set 'Sweet Warm Ups Sentiments', and the gingham paper is from the set 'Rustic Gingham Paper'.  The rest of the paper is last year's DCWV Holiday line.

The complicated sketch is from Splitcoaststamers (SC408).  The main image panel and the main image are popped up on dimensionals, and I machine stitched around the edge of the card.

Have a great day! Amy

Digital Tuesday Challenge "Thankfulness"

Hello and welcome to another Digital Tuesday Challenge.  This week's challenge is 'Thankfulness'.  Simply make a card or project that expresses thanks to someone or wishes them a Happy Thanksgiving.  Our sponsor this week is Caroline's Creative Stamps.

I decided to make a Thank You card for this week's challenge.  I used Carolines Creative Stamps Digital Paper 'Poppy Parade Digi Kit'.  I really loved how the digi paper looked embossed.  My image is a retired Stamp by Stampin Up!.

Stuffed with Love

Hello!  Today I have another Christmas Card to show you.  I used just the plain stocking image from the Daydream Designs set "Stocking Stuffers" and one of the sentiments in that set.  The sketch is from Taylored Expressions (TESC138).  After I printed the stocking image three times, I colored them, cut them out and then popped them up on dimensionals.  The paper is last season's old Christmas Paper from JoAnn's Fabrics and Crafts.  The designer paper behind the stockings already came in a 12 by 12 sheet of small squares.  All I had to do was cut one row to show only three squares.  Easy Peasy!

Digital Tuesday Challenge 'Fantasy'

Hello and welcome to another Digital Tuesday Challenge.  This week's challenge is 'Fantasy'!  Simply make a card or project with a 'Fantasy' theme and be sure to include at least one digital element.  Our sponsor this week is 'Crafts and Me' and they are giving away three digis to one randomly chosen winner.

Well, 'Fantasy' is a hard theme for a clean and simple designer like me.  The yellow and black card is actually the second card I attempted for this challenge. The image is called 'The Embrace'.  I didn't like my first card (pictured below in black, and white) at all, so I tried again.  I think the second one turned out better, but I'm still not thrilled with it.  I actually cased it from one of  Dawn Brunsworth's Cards,  she uses a lot of Flourish's Silhouette images, so I turned to her for inspiration and used her layout and color combo.  The paper is from DCWV 'Lemon Flower' and has lots of glitter and texture in real life.  I cut the silhouette image out and popped it up on dimensionals.

Here's my first card that I made.  The sketch is this week's Splitcoaststampers Sketch (SC409)

Sweetest Christmas

Hello!  Today I have another one of my October Christmas Cards to show you. I make four Christmas Cards a month for the Splitcoast Stampers Christmas Card Challenge.  I usually post them all at once, but for the next two months I will post one a week.

All of  my October Christmas Cards use images from Daydream Designs.  The Mug and peppermint image is from the set "Sweet Warm Ups" and the sentiments are from the set 'Sweet Warm Ups Sentiments'.

I used old paper from my stash, sorry but it's all piled up on the bottom of my plastic tote now and I have no idea whats what anymore.  I'm sure they don't sell it anymore anyway! I just thought the peppermint candy in the background paper went great with the image, so I used it.  I printed the image, cut it out and popped it up on dimensionals.

Here's the inside.  I printed out a separate Peppermint image and cut it out and glued it to the inside of the card.
Have a great day! Amy
