If you follow me on Instagram you may recognize this picture. On our last night in Vegas, we met my husband's cousin for dinner at a nice restaurant. This is what I wore. My husband bought me this dress on a previous vacation but I have never been able to wear it as a dress before because it's so short. But in Vegas, all the girls wear short skirts and dresses, so it was perfectly acceptable. I felt like I fit right in, and I wasn't uncomfortable wearing a dress this short in the slightest.
The last time I wore this dress was last year on Father's Day. I wore it with black ankle pants. You can see that look HERE.
We took pictures in the bathroom of our hotel before we left because it was a late dinner and it was already dark outside. I also wanted to do some close ups and that would be difficult in the dark. We stayed at the Flamingo Hotel, so all the walls were pink....which I loved. I don't want to say too much about my room now because I want to save that for a future travel post; but I did want to explain the pink walls.
The dress is a crochet overlay with a pointy scalloped hem. I bought a simple black knit sheath to wear under it from Forever 21. The dress did not come with the sheath. The dress would make a great beach cover up too. If your very daring, I could also see wearing it with just a pretty black lace bra underneath and black shorts.
It's hard to see all the lace detail in the pictures because of the black sheath underneath, but it is completely see through with an intricate tulip crocheted design.
Because of all the detail in the dress, I accented with simple, but very sparkly faux diamond and silver jewelry.
I wanted to bring some color into my outfit, so I carried my coral clutch from Express. I used this same clutch in my other evening Vegas outfit I posted last Friday HERE. I wore a black and silver bracelet on my wrist.
I learned my lesson after wearing high heels the night before and this time wore flats. If you missed it, you will have to go back to Friday's Fashion post and read that hilarious story. I wore these cute lace up flats that I picked up at DSW right before my trip (no longer available). They are Carlos by Carlos Santana Shoes.
For earrings, I chose these large diamond studs.
We were so happy we found this pretty little spot to take pictures. It was well lit, plus it showed our hotel in the background on one side and the Eiffel Tower on the other side.
Here is a close up of the hem of the dress. I love the pointy scallops.
Have a Great Day! Amy
