Pink Inspiration

For yesterday's Technique Lover's Challenge on Splitcoaststampers, we had to make an inspirational, encouraging card with the color pink as the primary color in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Week. We also had to use Twinkling H2O's on our project. If you've never heard of Twinkling H2O's, they are tiny little cakes of sparkly color. You add a few drops of water to them and they soften. Then you apply it to your image using a paint brush. They give a little hint of shimmer (you really can't see it in the photograph, but trust me, its there in real life!). You use Twinkling H2O's if you don't want as much 'bling' as you would get if you used Stickles or Glitter.
This card is a 5 x 5 square. I usually don't like to make square cards, because they cost extra money to mail, but I felt it was necessary for my layout. I used the retired Stampin Up! set 'In Full Bloom' and colored it with my Stampin Up! Watercolor Pencils. The images were stamped with Black Stazon Ink since I was using water on my card and I didn't want the lines to bleed. The sentiment is the retired Stampin Up! set 'Elegant Inspirations' and is stamped in Stampin Up! 'Pink Passion' ink. I embossed the background with my cuttlebug and embossing folder 'Swiss Dots' and used ribbon, brads, and a corner punch for embellishment. The cardstock colors are Georgia Pacific White, and Stampin Up! 'Pretty in Pink' and 'Pink Passion.'
God bless you all, and if you haven't had a mammogram yet this year, be sure to get one! Amy
