Driving By with a Birthday "Hi!"

When I make cards for people  I try to gear the card around their interest or personality.  But because I do a card ministry, I often do not know much about the person I'm making the card for, other than their sex and approximate age.  Such was the case with the card I made below.  It is for a man in his twenties and the only thing I know about him is that he has a great sense of humor.  So, I thought I would make a fun, playful card with a guy in a truck with a bunch of dogs.  Trucks and dogs, can't get more masculine than that right?

The image is retired Stampin' Up! "Loads of Love".  The paper is "Joy Ride" by Cosmo Cricket.  The solid colors are Very Vanilla and Basic Grey.  I used a Deconstructed Sketch (DS139) for my design.

Spellbinder's Nestabilities and MFT dies were used to cut all the shapes.  I stamped the truck on separate piece of card stock and cut it out.  The man and dogs were stamped directly on the Very Vanilla panel and then the truck was popped up on dimensionals on top of them.

Pinking shears cut the the zig zag edge on the sentiment panel.

Have a great day!  Amy
