Sweetheart Cards

I made these sweetheart cards for all the sweeties in my life:  my husband, my daughter and son-in-law, and my son.  I gave them these cards for Valentine's Day.

This card I gave to my husband.  The "Sweethearts" is a background stamp by Inkadinkado.  I simply stamped the image twice:  once on the white card base, and once more on a piece of scrap card stock. I then colored all the hearts in with Copic Markers.  I cut out some extra hearts from the scrap card stock and mounted them up on dimensionals.

The sentiment is from MFT.  I cut it out using a Spellbinder's Nestability.  I mounted the sentiment card stock up on dimensionals and put a Soft Saffron grosgrain ribbon behind it.

Other card stock colors used as bases are brown, light blue and white.  So Saffron is the card base.

My next Sweetheart card I made for my daughter and son-in-law.  This time I stamped the background stamp onto white card stock and then cut it out with a Spelbinder's Nestability heart die. I then cut another heart out using pink paper and adhered them both to a white card base.  The Sweetheart shape is mounted up on dimensionals.

The sentiment and little hearts were cut with Taylored Expression Dies.

My final card I gave to my son.  I stamped the little baggies onto vellum using a retired Stampin' Up! set "All Wrapped Up".  I then stamped the Sweethearts onto white card stock and hand cut all the little hearts out.  I very carefully placed them on a white card stock base, but I did not glue them down.  I then cut my vellum baggies out and glued only the edges onto the white card stock over the Sweethearts.  The Sweethearts jiggle free inside the bags.

Using a corner rounder, I rounded the corners of the white card stock base and adhered it to Lovely Lilac card base.

Little yellow bows were added for embellishment.  The sentiment is from an old, unknown cooking stamp set.

Have a Great Day!  Amy
