One year later, and I'm still talking about flannel. That's because it's bigger and better than ever! Where last year flannel was just emerging as a major trend, this year it is at FULL Peak! Every store, every advertisement, every blog, someone is wearing flannel!
Well, I still have my one-of-a-kind flannel and lace shirt I bought last year from Express. I thought it was so unique with the lace insets, that I bought it on the spot when it wasn't even on sale! And I'm glad I did, because now I can wear it again this season!
I love this shirt because it is a very soft, thin flannel. Not like normal, thick, uncomfortable flannel shirts. It also has the unique detail of black lace insets on the sleeves and back. I love the mix of feminine and masculine, don't you?
It is a super long shirt that goes way past my butt, so it's very appropriate to wear with leggings or tight skinny jeans.
In Last Year's Post, I wore my flannel shirt tucked in, with dark denim, tall boots, and a black tank top. This year, I chose to leave it un-tucked, like a cardigan, and I wore it with a new grey and black flecked top from J.C. Penney. I got this top on sale for only $14.99!
I believe I have the same pair of dark jeans on, but I'm carrying my old-faithful Express Bucket Bag and wearing my new Liz Claiborne booties that I recently showed you HERE.
For jewelry, I chose an edgy silver chain necklace I just picked up on clearance at H&M last weekend.
We've been having an unseasonably warm Fall here in North Western Wisconsin, so a jacket isn't really necessary except in the early mornings or evenings. My long sleeve, flannel shirt was the only outerwear I needed on a warm Fall day.
Have a great day! Amy

The tartan with the lace is such a lovely combination.
ReplyDeleteI love flannel! I'm always so happy to break out my plaid when fall comes. Such a fun combo of the lace and plaid.

You have been killing it lately with the layers and the toppers/jackets you have used on top. This flannel+lace shirt works as a little light cardigan. Love the dark oxblood shade and the lace sleeves, too.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Monday Amy! =)
I love that color flannel! It looks perfect :) I am so excited for the weather to finally get cool enough here to enjoy some fall fashion! Maybe we can get below 90 soon :) Have a great day!
