We had the most wonderful day last week Sunday. Our daughter was performing about three hours away from where we live and she needed us to pick her up. We decided to just make a day of it and take a road trip stopping wherever we wanted to along the way.
Because I had no idea what we were doing that day, I had no idea what to wear. Originally, I came downstairs wearing a long knit skirt and a sleeveless shirt. My husband was horrified and said I looked like a Mennonite. So back up the stairs I went trying to find something I knew he would approve of. When I came back down the stairs wearing this outfit, he was quite happy.
It turned out that it was a good thing I changed clothes for it was a very hot day and everything we did was outdoorsy. I would have been miserable wearing a long, knit skirt.
I'm wearing white denim shorts from a.n.a that I bought last year. The blue camisole I bought new this spring from Old Navy.We stopped at so many cute little towns this day. One town had a quarry with beautiful waterfalls, another had a pretty bridge with flowers, and yet another had a gorgeous lake.
It was such a large lake, yet the water was as warm as bath water.
I tried to coax my husband into the water with me, but he didn't want to take off his socks and shoes.
If you remember my DIY Tassel Necklace post, I talked about how I wanted to buy a tassel necklace but they were too expensive. A reader told me I could find them on Etsy for a reasonable amount, so I checked and they were right! I found this pretty neon pink one for only $25.00!
I wore multi-colored sandals that I bought a season or two ago from DSW.
This first one used to be a quarry, but they have since turned it into a picturesque park with five waterfalls. This was taken in Montello, Wisconsin
And this was a beautiful flower covered bridge in a park in Green Lake, Wisconsin. A storm was moving in when the picture was taken, but isn't it gorgeous?
Have a great day! Amy
