Getting Older is for the Birds

Other than a slower metabolism and a few extra aches and pains, I don't believe getting older is for the birds.  It actually can be a pretty fun and exciting time of life.  You have more freedom because your kids are gone, your career is pretty much established, so your not worried about getting the next promotion, and you usually have more money than in your did in your younger years;   all of which leaves you with more time to get out and enjoy life!  So no, getting older is not for the birds.  But for the sake of humor,  lets excuse the age discriminatory sentiment.

I made this card for a fellow birthday and lifelong friend who is the same age as me, so I thought she would get a kick out of it.  The image is an oldie from MFT called 'Hanging with My Peeps'.  I also used an MFT sketch (MFTGUESTDT1012).

 The paper is from DCWV 'Lemon Flower'.

 The main image is colored with Copic Markers and cut out along the frame of the image.  I then popped it up on dimensionals.

I used an MFT die to cut the scallop edge, and added ribbon for embellishment.
