Wearing My New Scarf

Hello again!  I'm back from my vacation.  We had another wonderful, adventurous trip that I'm excited to start sharing with you in upcoming posts!  Colorado is such a beautiful state, and always the perfect vacation spot for outdoor enthusiasts like my husband and I, so it's impossible not to have a great time when your there.

Today's post was actually photographed and drafted before I left.  I had hoped to post it while I was on our vacation, but we were way to busy for me to have time to blog.

If you remember THIS POST, my daughter gave me this beautiful lavender floral scarf for Mother's Day, so when she was home that week I asked her to put an outfit together for me using the scarf as her inspiration piece with other items from my closet, and this is what she came up with:

Ashley paired the scarf with a white tank from Express (old), a cobalt blue boyfriend blazer from Francesca's (old), grey skinny jeans from Target (old) and black, peek-a-boo wedges (old).  Notice how everything is old but the scarf?  Adding just one new accessory to items you already own in your closet  can create an entire new look!

The Express tank is very see-thru so I had to wear a second white tank underneath.

I carried a silver, metallic cross body bag and my only jewelry other than my usual rings, was a simple pink beaded bracelet.

Ashley used the colors from the scarf to pick out the colors for the entire outfit.  The cobalt blue of the blazer is also in the scarf, and the dark grey, black, and white provides a solid neutral base.
