Penny Black Simplicity Challenge

Hello!  I made this card for the Penny Black Simplicity Challenge, and I hope they consider it simple, because I certainly do!  It was very easy to make.  The main image was very small, so I just stamped it in the left corner onto designer paper that looked like a sky to me.  Then I stamped just the flowers a few more times.  I used two different grass stamps and two different green inks and filled in around the flowers.  There was a tiny a little butterfly in the set, so I stamped it twice.
I was just going to stamp the sentiment directly onto the designer paper to keep it really simple, but I just felt the space needed a little bit more, so I cut out some clouds using an MFT die, and stamped the sentiment directly onto the cloud.
I put Stickles onto all the insects, and in the center of each flower.
The Penny Black stamp set I used is called 'Garden Friends'.  It is such a cute set with spring and Easter images.  My designer paper is "Annalee",  from Prima, and I used Lovely Lilac as my card base.
It's so nice to dream of spring when the weather is still so bitter cold.  Making cards like these, helps me get through it.  That, and buying spring clothes!  What do you do to help make it through the last brutal weeks of winter?  I'd love to hear from you!

Have a great day!  Amy

  1. You made such an amazing card with this stamp! I bought this stamp a few years ago, and never used it because I couldn't make it work somehow! Thanks for the inspiration!
Love the colorful flowers and I am sure it would fit into the simplicity category!
