Stitch Fix Fall Fashion

In Blog Land we hear so much about the weather in other parts of the country and the world.   Most of you are complaining it's too hot yet to wear your fall fashions.  Here in Wisconsin it won't stop raining.  And it's not drizzling folks, it's POURING!  It has been pouring rain for four days straight.  I'm beginning to wonder if I'll ever get the fall garden chores done this year.

Thankfully these pictures were taken before the rain, because I certainly couldn't wear a suede coat and suede booties in the rain.

I titled this post "Stitch Fix Fall Fashion" because three of the items I am wearing are from Stitch Fix!    The earrings (more on those on Friday's Fashion Post),  jacket, and top are all from Stitch Fix.  The jacket I received in a Fix from last year (see that post HERE), but the other two pieces were in my September box.

I kept the neutral look head to toe by carrying a brown saddlebag (mine is old, but I love THIS ONE) and wearing brown booties.

My shoes are from JCPenney (old, similar HERE).  I love the perforated design on the heel.

My released hem jeans I purchased last year from Charlotte Russe.  I'm still so bummed they went out of business.  I loved their jeans and shoes!

The top is by Daniel Rain and is called "Demeter Tie Neck Blouse".

I thought the top and jacket went so well together because the colors of the print were the same as the jacket.

I really liked the style of this top.  It had pretty tassels, and I liked the neutral print and different patterns.  However, because I have very long arms, the bottom of the sleeve was too tight on me.  I find that to be an issue with most 3/4 length tops or tab button sleeves.

In next week Friday's Fashion Post I'll give you a closer look at the earrings I received in this Fix as well as a review of the entire box.  You will have to wait to find out if I kept this top till then.

Have a Great Day!  Amy

  3. Such a beautiful outfit! Love that blouse and I agree it pairs so well with the jacket!

It finally quit pouring here and I woke up to sunshine this morning. But it's gotten sooo cold!! The heat used to bother me this time of the year a few years ago, but we've had such miserable winters that now I enjoy every bit of warmth at this time of the year. I needed a jacket over my sweater this morning and so didn't enjoy that!!

    1. Thank you! Yes, that's why I never understand what the excitement always is about fall. Other than the colors, most of the time the weather is miserable.

  5. Send some of that rain my way, please (but not four days straight - I'll take two of them). I got a taste of fall when in North Carolina this past weekend. It was actually kind of nice, though I sat on the patio drinking coffee with a faux fur blankie wrapped around me. I love this look on you! The top is adorable and I love the suede jacket and boots and that saddlebag handbag! Do the bottoms of the sleeves button? Could you sew in a little piece of elastic and leave it unbuttoned to give you a little more room? You look gorgeous and I can't wait to see the closeup of the earrings.

    1. Oh, I wish I could. I often think how sad it is that some states need rain so bad and others get way too much. Thanks so much. That's a good idea! I'll consider it.

  6. Some great stores have gone out of business...I miss Charming Charlie already. And I hear Forever 21 is next. Wonder how much of it is because we are all shopping online. Those jeans are darling and such a great fit.
I just received my fall Stitch Fix. Haven't opened the box but that is on the to-do list for tomorrow. Scared I will like a lot of it!! Ha!
That top is unique. That is what I hope to receive with my fixes. I like that the print varies but the colors are the same. Will be anxious to see what the final verdict was on it.

    1. I had no idea Charming Charlies went out of business! We never had one in my hometown, but I always stopped at one when out of town. What a bummer. It's so sad that brick and mortar stores are closing. But I must admit, I don't shop like I use to. With styling services like Stitch Fix, who needs too? I just think society is changing and we don't shop for entertainment like we use to. I so get you wishing you won't like your Fix. I feel like that too. It's so hard to send things back. Thanks so much.

    1. Yes, it was pretty but like I said the sleeves were too tight and every time I would have worn it I would have been uncomfortable.
