I was so elated to see this pretty blue duster in my September box from Stitch Fix. I always prefer dusters or cardigans over pullover sweaters during the winter months, because they are so easy to remove if I get too warm. Long dusters can sometimes be problematic in the winter, because they tend to hang longer than most coats. But in fall, when you don't need a coat, a long duster like this makes the perfect early fall layer.
The duster is a good length for me, stopping around five inches above my knee on my 5'7 frame.
I chose some pretty leafy earrings from Amazon in honor of the first day of fall.
What I really loved about this cardigan was how thin it was. I'm not a fan of chunky knits on my body frame. I also thought the see-thru design was very pretty.
I carried a burgundy bag to add a little more color to the outfit other than blue and white. Mine is old, but I like THIS ONE on Amazon as well.
For footwear, I chose these suede navy blue booties, also from Stitch Fix.
I could not find this exact sweater on-line, but HERE is a similar one in Sea Moss.
I was happy to get this cardigan not just because of the style, but also the color. I already own so many cardigans, but I don't have any in blue.
I'll let you know in my Stitch Fix Review post if I kept this cardigan, but I'm sure you can already guess! :)
Have A Great Day! Amy

What a pretty color! Love how you styled it. Hope you will keep this one!ReplyDelete
Thank you! You'll see!Delete
I just got a duster about that length too, and am trying to figure out how to style it!!ReplyDelete
Yes, they can be a bit tricky.Delete
What a great look, Amy! This cardigan is so pretty! Love the color and how it's an open weave knit which is so perfect for late summers and early fall days (and summer evenings). Cardigans are definitely a fall favorite, in winter I tend to wear more sweaters for the reason you stated. I also loved the amazon cardigan you linked, that's such a gorgeous color and style too!ReplyDelete
Thanks Ellie! Yes, I so agree. I like the Amazon cardigan too. I might be tempted to order that one...but I don't need another cardigan. :)Delete
You look great. Love those booties.ReplyDelete
lovely colors. Perfect with your styleReplyDelete
Girl, Stitch Fix needs to give you a job!!! LOVE this look. I like the open weave, the lightness of the duster. Perfect transition piece. Have the link open to check out your similar burgundy bag. Yours is such a rich pretty wine color. I rarely buy purses but might need to rectify that. Or maybe my fall fix will have a purse in it? I was just thinking I need blue shoes, too. Truly!! These booties are delicious. What a color!! LOVE LOVE LOVE this whole look.ReplyDelete
P.S. Have you heard of the SIA Style Imitating Art challenges? The art work inspiration for this week is a painting of a woman in blue. Your outfit would be a great interpretation. Ha ha! I wish! Glad you liked the purse. Mine is a year or two old but I always try to find a similar one on Amazon when I show an old piece. Stitch Fix usually sends me a new purse every season, so maybe you'll get one too. I was so excited to see these blue suede boots in one of my Fixes because they are so hard to find. I'll check into your challenge. Thanks for letting me know.Delete
Amy your cardigan is just beautiful! I love the color and the knit is just so pretty!ReplyDelete
That cardigan is so pretty with all the knit detail! And your top and shoes look amazing with it!ReplyDelete
I love dusters too! I bought a few just seeing them on bloggers over the years. The blue booties are adorable with this look too!ReplyDelete
