I know so many of my blogging buds have moved onto spring fashion, and even though spring is only twelve days away for most of the United States, for us, it's probably months away. We have so much snow on the ground! We set a record for the month of February for the 6th snowiest February ever. Believe it or not we got 77. 2 inches of snow! We are all joking around here that it'll be the 4th of the July when the snow finally melts; about the time when most fashion bloggers start talking about fall fashion. ðŸ˜
And besides the snow, it's been COLD, and I mean FREEZING COLD! We had the Polar Vortex most Americans experienced, but even now we have been suffering with a lot of below zero temperatures. March 1st I woke up to my house only being 58 degrees. It was just so cold outside the wood stoves couldn't keep up.
Because of our horrible winter weather, my outfits have been typically utilitarian: Stay warm and dry; boots, jeans, and cozy cardigans!
This time I paired my cardigan with my new grey skinny jeans from Stitch Fix and a floral printed short sleeve top (also from Stitch Fix but very old).
I know I've said it before, but I just love the length of this sweater. I can wear it with skinnies or leggings and know I'm adequately covered.
For jewelry, I played off the white in the top and in the sweater and wore a simple white pearl necklace and bracelet.
These boots are my go-to winter boots. I wear them more than any other boots because they're perfect in winter snow. A lot of boots are suede (why do they make so many boots in suede?) and I can't wear them in snow or slush. These boots I can wear in the worst of weather. They are from Charlotte Russe (old).

I do post my daily outfits to my Instastories on Instagram if I remember! I wore this outfit to church and I actually remembered to take a picture!
I actually will have some spring outfits to share with you in the next few weeks because Stitch Fix sent me all spring clothes for my March Fix. Although I was excited to see spring clothes in my box, I didn't keep anything...but you'll have to wait to find out why.
Have A Great Day! Amy

That's how the weather is in Denver. I feel blessed that we are able to visit our friends in AZ right now, where it's really spring weather. I"m not sure how I'll feel going back to the cold and snow...refreshed or depressed??

Oh lucky you! Have fun in AZ!
DeleteI snowed here again too yesterday then of course there was talk about freezing drizzle ... I am soooo tired of winter! It's supposed to get better next week over here and I am looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteLove today's look, that's also my favorite lengths of cardigans. This one looks so soft and cozy!
Thanks Ellie! Yes, you guys get a lot of the freezing drizzle, and I often wonder what is worse, snow or freezing rain.

Yes it is! And more coming tonight! Thanks Amy Ann!
DeleteAmy, I'm with you--in the cold weather, it's all about staying warm and dry. My favorite way to do that is to cuddle up with the cat, a good book and a cup of tea!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jean! Glad to see another cat another here too!
DeleteI am ready for Spring, but man we have had so much snow here! I didn't even do outfit photos last weekend, because I was SO over the snow. Tomorrow it's going to be 60, yet it is supposed to storm ALL day! It is a bummer, because we haven't had a warm day in awhile and I need to get my tedious (ha!) Stitch Fix photos in. I just LOVE this white cozy cardi on you!! It looks perfect for a snowy day indoors!

Oh Carrie, we would die for a 60 degree day! You're so lucky. It'll be a long time before we see those temperatures.
DeleteWow! I thought we got a lot of snow! I love your cozy cardigan! I would be wearing it all of the time!

Thanks Jess! I know you don't see snow like this where you live, so I'm sure you appreciate it. We on the other hand see so much of it and it causes so many hardships, we get sick of it.
DeleteI'm not envious of your snow - had my share whilst on my skiing break and am looking forward to better weather in the spring. Thanks for sharing your winter whites on the #chicandstylish #linkup. Jacqui Mummabstylish
ReplyDeleteUgh, we are so tired of snow here in Wisconsin and are all longing for spring. It always arrives so late!
