If you recognize this dress it's because I showed it to you before HERE. In that post I styled it for winter with boots and tights, but here I am wearing it for warmer weather. I just noticed I'm wearing the same earrings as I did then. Too funny. I must really like the way they look with this dress. Oh, and the sweater I have on in that post, is the same one I took with me to the wedding.
I wore open toe booties because they are the perfect summer/fall transitional look. The booties scream fall, but the open toes say summer. I bought them from Payless Shoe Source last season.
I carried a blush handbag that I picked up at Charming Charlies. Because there is a gold bar in the neckline of my dress, all the jewelry that I wore is also gold.
The sleeves have a tab closure and the same border as the bottom of the dress has.
I love shift dresses because they are so comfortable and they camouflage all my flaws!
And here are a few pictures of this lovely outdoor casual wedding.
I loved this quote as you enter the back yard. Is that a great idea or what? It's perfect for weddings where one family outnumbers another.
The couple rented two tents, one for food and one for the ceremony itself. They also laid a runner from the back deck of the home to where the ceremony would take place.
All the guests were told to bring lawn chairs....I told you it was casual!
The bride's cat was included in the ceremony. I thought that was such a sweet idea. This is the most laid back, well-tempered cat I have ever seen. Even with all the people there she stayed as calm and content as you see here.
And finally, here is my husband with the bride and groom. Isn't the bride's dress just gorgeous?

DeletePerfect Fall dress and I'm all a-gaga over those booties! I would love to find something like that right now. I'm sure you can guess how I feel about the bridal cat! Love. Love. Love.
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen! Yes, cut-out booties are perfect for this time of year. And I do know how you feel about the bridal cat. I hope you find your special kitty soon.
DeleteLove the pattern in the dress. Looks like is was a really fun and stress free wedding, and how special to have their cat attend too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Elli, it was a stress free wedding. It got me to think more weddings need to be like this. They use to have backyard weddings with potluck meals all the time in the old days, maybe we need to go back to that.
DeleteIt may have been a last minute change, but I think it turned out perfectly! Great dress.

DeleteI love a printed shift dress! All day every day! You look fantastic. And I love a super casual relaxed wedding, too. And I think guests appreciate weddings like this, too. I know I sure do! I hate getting all primped up in super fancy and uncomfortable dresses!
