A Celebratory Wedding Card

If you read Friday's Fashion Post, you would have known that I went to a wedding recently.  I shared details of what I wore on that post, but I also shared a few pictures of the wedding as well.  This is the card that I made for the bride and groom.

The image is from Flourishes "Wedding Bliss" set.  I just love this set because the images are so pretty and elegant and there is no coloring involving.  That is super important to me, because I think coloring a bride would be quite difficult.    I made another wedding card a year ago on THIS POST using this same image.

This is one of those cards that you really have to see in real life to get a full appreciation.  I used textured velvet designer paper for the bottom half.  The black flowers and scrolls you see are a raised velvet...it is so luxurious.  It's from an old DCWV stack, which I think is actually called "The Luxury Stack".

The bride and groom image and the sentiment are stamped in black ink directly on another coordinating designer paper from that stack.  The designer papers are then adhered to a black card stock panel and then I put black ribbon and a bow on it.

Have a Great Day!  Amy

  1. I agree it's so hard to color a bride! This is a beautiful stamp and love the pretty papers you paired it with. I might have to add this luxurious stack to my paper collection, although I seem to have way too much paper already!

  3. Where do you craft? Do you have a room or just a spot on the kitchen table? Lovely card. I have admired those flocked velvet card stocks for a long time. Beautiful.

    1. Thanks Leslie. I have a huge craft room where I can do all my crafts. If you type "My New Craft Room" in the search box the link to my new craft room post will come up.
