Have a Cool 4th!

Happy 4th of July to all my American readers!  I don't have a patriotic outfit or card to show you today, but I do have a card of what I would like to be doing today (but can't since there are no nice beaches where I live).  I think this image represents what most Americans do on the fourth:  chill out!

My fun image is an old Dustin Pike digital image.  The sentiment is from MFT "Far Out".  I used a Spellbinder's Nestability flower die to cut the sun shape out of Yo Yo Yellow paper.  I ran a piece of Soft Sky card stock through my Cuttlebug Machine using a Darice Cloud Embossing Folder to create the cloud background.  A stencil and a pair of scissors were used to make the waves, then I just inked the edges and sponged them a bit.

Have a Happy 4th.  I have no plans other than the fireworks tonight as there is nothing else to do in my area unless I want to drive several hours away.  Boring north central Wisconsin.  It's days like these when I really miss my hometown of Milwaukee.  The 4th of July was a blast there….festivities went for weeks with fireworks every night.  That's a town that really knows how to celebrate!  Hmmm, maybe next year I'll plan ahead and we'll skip town.
