For Baby

Hello!  A young couple in my church are having their first child, so I had the wonderful opportunity of making them a card and gift tag to go with the gift I bought them.  This was a fun project because I rarely get to make baby items.  I usually make birthday, anniversary, sympathy, and the occasional 'get well' card, and that is it, so it was a change of pace for me!

The items that I bought them were yellow and white (because I don't know the baby's sex) and they had cute little animal images on them;  so I made a card and tag to match the gifts.

First up is the card, the stamp set is so old that I lost the original packaging so I don't have the name.  Sorry.  I stamped the image twice, then popped just the head and body up on dimensionals.  I made the tail with floss.  I cut a frame with Spellbinder's Nestabilities out of Creamy Caramel card stock.  A button, floss, and ribbon were my embellishments.  The printed paper is DCWV 'Baby Girl'

Here is the card with the matching tag.  The sentiment is retired Stampin Up!
I popped the head and the body up on dimensionals for the matching tag too.
It was night time by the time I finished this project, so the picture below is horrible, but here is the finished wrapped package.  I didn't realize till it was too late to do anything about it, that I didn't have any baby wrapping paper, so I made my own with kraft shipping paper by stamping baby hand prints and the same 'For Baby' sentiment randomly over the paper.  The big mistake I made here was that I should have stamped the paper BEFORE I wrapped the box because it wasn't firm enough to make a clear impression.  Oh well, live and learn.
I used a bit of the same ribbon I used on the card for the outside of the package.  I wrapped the entire box with chocolate ribbon from my stash.
Have a great day! Amy
