Scripture Challenge #1 and #2

Last year Patter Cross from the blog 'Triple the Scraps' did a weekly Scripture Word Challenge. Once a week she gave her readers a word, and they were to look up scripture based on that word and make a card about it. Well, I joined in late in the year, about week 38 I think. This year, she started a new challenge, the His Holy Name Challenge, which has already started, BUT she is re-running the Scripture Words from last year for those of us who started playing later in the year. These cards are for Weeks One and Two; the challenge words were 'Kindness' and 'Faith'.

Both cards use the retired Stampin Up! set 'Fabulous Flowers'. For the first card, I used cardstock colors Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard, and Olive Green. The sentiment is from Queen Kat Designs. I stamped the flower three times in three different ink colors and cut it out. The old olive panel is embossed with the Cuttlebug. I decided to make a 'Thank you' card to bounce off the theme of God's loving kindness for His children.
The second card uses the cardstock colors Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, and So Saffron. The sentiment is computer generated. The Tangerine Tango panel is run through the Cuttlebug and the So Saffron panel has a scrolly image from Basic Grey stamped with Apricot Appeal ink. The scripture I chose for this card is 2 Chronicles 20:20: 'Have Faith in the Lord your God'. The perfect card/sentiment for someone going through a difficult time.
Have a wonderful day! Amy
