My Favorite Crafting Projects of 2015

This is the time of the year when we reflect, look back, see how far we've come, and think about where we want to go.  Part of that reflection for me is looking at my creative endeavors which includes both fashion and crafting.  I've already shown you my favorite outfits I created in 2015 HERE, and now I'd like to show you my favorite crafts I created the past year.  I picked one favorite for every month, but as always, it was so hard to pick just one.

                                                   January

I absolutely love the gorgeous, textured designer paper in this card and the striking color balance of the soft yellow up against the deep black.

                                               February

The month of February brings with it the Valentine holiday and endless possibilities of creating beautiful gifts for my loved ones. This was a organic chocolate bar that I made more special by covering it in designer paper and adding pretty lace, ribbon, flowers and a cute tag.

                                                  March

In March,  I had a blast creating inspirational wall art using designer paper and my Cricut machine.

                                                  April

April was one of the happiest, most joyous months of the year for it was when we attended our son's senior recital.  We were so happy and proud of him that day (still are!).  I created this card in honor of him and he said it was the best card he ever saw.  And my daughter Ashley and I created this beautiful music themed gift bag together.

                                                                               May

The month of May is my favorite month of the year for it is spring!  The long, cold, dreary winter is over and the earth is bursting forth with new life.  And what makes me happiest during this time is when I see flowers blooming in my garden once again.  Although Hollyhocks do not bloom in May, I love this card because I love Hollyhocks and I think it is beautifully colored if I do say so myself.  :)

                                                  June

This past spring we also attended a beautiful, elegant wedding for which I made this card.  The photograph does not do it justice, for it is so sparkly and shimmery in real life.  The style of the card fit the couple and their wedding very well.

                                                    July

In July I made my very first tassel necklace!  I also bought supplies to make more in different colors, but I never got around to it.  Typical me.

                                                August

This is a card I love so much I made it the logo of my Etsy Store (see side bar of my blog).  I love to make quick and easy card for life is just too short to spend three hours to make one card.  But, I also want the cards to look impressive....like I spent three hours on them.  This is one of those cards.  It takes minutes to make, yet looks amazing.

                                             September

I love to decorate my porches for the seasons and make my own decorations whenever possible.  Here is a sign I hand painted myself.  I actually made the sign several years ago, but my exterior fall decor is new every year!

                                                  October

With October comes another holiday---Halloween---and a chance to spoil my kids once again.  Here are some wrapped gifts I sent them using designer paper, ribbon, tags....and everything else.

                                              November

November is the start of the holiday season so what is more fitting than showing a holiday card I created this month?  I got the idea to use holly in the background of this nativity card from another card.  I thought it was so effective and created such a pretty, yet meaningful card.

December

With December comes the most joyous time of the year, Christmas!  I send out a Christmas photo card and Christmas Letter to all my family and friends.  This year I accidentally ordered the wrong size photo card and had to come up with a photo cover that had a clean and simple design so I could make sixty cards in less than a week.  Sounds impossible, but I did it!

Looking back at my creative endeavors of 2015 I'm impressed with what I actually did make this past year.  My personal crafting time seems to get less and less as the years pass, and I don't feel I create as much as I use to.  Hopefully in 2016 I will get more time in my craft room.

Have a great day!  Amy
