Fashion Over Fifty: Classic Blue and White

Hello!  For today's Fashion Over Fifty post, I am wearing a classic color combo:  blue and white.  I love this color combo, in fact my kitchen is decorated in these colors and many guests that come to my home say that my kitchen is their favorite room in the house.  Blue and white, red and green, red, white, and blue….they are all color combos that no matter how much time comes and goes, they are always in style.

Just about everything I have on in the picture below is from J.C.Penney.  The blue and white sleeveless shirt is by a.n.a and I actually talked about it in THIS POST where I showed you another shirt by a.n.a. that I purchased on the same day.  I've worn this shirt by itself several times during the summer.  It has a solid blue back and blue lace up the sides.  It was way too cold on the day this picture was taken to wear it by itself, so I added a jersey knit blazer with a pinstripe lining and a white gauze scarf to keep me warm.  My scarf, jacket, and white jeans were all purchased from J.C. Penney.

 For jewelry I wore a silver feather cuff that I picked up at Old Navy, and a large black and silver watch.

 I love the pinstripe on the rolled sleeve.  It adds that extra special touch that makes the jacket more interesting.  I also love that this jacket is a knit material.  I find most blazers to stiff and uncomfortable for me to wear, especially under winter coats, but the knit material is so soft and flexible, it is very comfortable.

 I wanted in the worst way to remove my jacket to show you the lace on the top and the solid colored back, but I was just too cold.  So here's a couple of 'peeps':  see the pretty pinstripe lining on the jacket and the lovely blue lace on the side of the top?

 As I stated earlier, it is a sleeveless top so it's perfect to wear in warm weather by itself or in colder weather under blazers or cardigans.
