A Polka Dot Top From Stitch Fix

Sorry, I know it's the first Monday of the month, but I do not have a new "Grandma & Me" post to share.  I still have not seen my little Alethea as we are still waiting for little Atticus to make his way into the world.  Once I hear he's on his way, my husband and I will head down to Illinois to take care of Alethea while mom and dad are in the hospital;  then I'll have plenty of pictures to share with you when I get back.  For now, I will start the month with a review of the first item from my June box from Stitch Fix.

The first item to be reviewed from my 30th box from Stitch Fix (wow! I can't believe I'm reviewing my 30th box!) is this cute polka dot textured top.  I thought it would look really cute with my pearl embellished jeans so I styled them together.  If you're still looking for 4th of July outfit ideas, this would also make a great 4th of July look if you add some red in the outfit with some red accessories or shoes.  Also, check out my Memorial Day Outfit post for even more ideas!

The top is by Market & Spruce and is called "Ezide Textured Print Top".  My pearl embellished jeans were purchased last year at a Younkers "Going-Out-Of-Business" sale.  The neutral sandals were also from Younkers.

I really love the front of the top.  The polka dot textured print is so pretty, and I like that it has two layers in the front so that I don't have to wear a camisole underneath.

Here's a close up so you can see the fun texture.

The back of the top was another story.  Yuck.  It was completely see-through as it was only one layer, the solid layer.  I'm sure this top is only meant to wear under a jacket, blazer, or cardigan, but I don't like that.  I really need my clothes to serve more than one purpose.   If the back were the same as the front, I would have loved this top.  I thought the sheer textured polka dot layer in front was so cute, but I did not like the back at all.

I brought in a bit of color with my bag and bracelet, both old.

I really liked the V slash neckline in the top too, but I wasn't thrilled with the sleeveless, again.  Somehow Stitch Fix isn't getting the hint that my arms are not a feature I want to show as they keep sending me either sleeveless tops or tops whose sleeve caps are too high.

As always,  I will let you know if I kept this top when I do my end-of-month Stitch Fix review.  I might be taking a blogging break for the holiday or when baby Atticus arrives, whichever comes first!

If you've never tried Stitch Fix before, use my REFERRAL CODE to receive $25.00 off your first box!

Have A Great Day, and a Great 4th of July weekend too!

  1. It's too bad they didn't make the back two layers like the front. Because that texture is wonderful.

    1. I so agree! It would have been perfect if the back was the same as the front.

  2. The front is really pretty but I understand wanting something that you can wear in a multitude of ways!

    1. Exactly! And what if I did wear it with a blazer or jacket but then I got warm? I couldn't take the jacket off with the back looking like that.

  4. Such a bummer that polka dot feature wasn't carried through to the back- I totally agree, it would've made the top perfect. You styled this so well, lady!

  7. How exciting that you are on baby watch!! Hope you can find cute Grandma and me clothes for baby boys so he can be a part of that fun series.

That top is darling. Love how the dot pattern complements the embellishments on your jeans. I don't care for sleeveless things much, either, but have begun forcing myself to wear them in hopes that I will work harder on toning my arms. But even toning them won't get rid of that dreadful crepe skin I have going on!!

Enjoy your holiday weekend and will be anxious for news on the healthy arrival of Atticus and that mom and child are both well.

    1. Yes, it's exciting, but I'm growing impatient as he is still not here! And yes, he will definitely be a part of our Grandma & Me series! I think it will be fun throwing boy clothes into the mix. As far as arms, I've always had issues with my arms. It's not an age thing. I always wanted thin arms, but for whatever reason, I was given the opposite. :(

  8. That is such a cute top! It's a shame that the back is sheer, I always like things you can wear more than one way and being limited to only wearing it under a jacket would bee too frustrating!

Thank you so much for joining the #weekdayWearLinkUp :) I just posted this week's linkup, I'd love you to join again! :)

Hope that you had a lovely weekend :) We spent most of ours at home, just relaxing!
