How To Wear Ruffled Hem Jeans

Last week Friday I showed some pearl embellished jeans that I picked up at a Younkers "Going-Out-Of-Business Sale".  Today I'm going to show you another fun pair of jeans I picked up:  Ruffled Hem Jeans!

I'm showing this outfit with outerwear and without.  Here I have a black floral embroidered bomber jacket with a black checkered scarf.

I must admit out of all the fun, funky jeans I purchased at the going-out-of-business sale, these were the hardest for me to style.  I searched Pinterest for ideas, and found that although you can wear any type of shoe with them,  heels looked the best to me.  However, I am usually on my feet a lot when I am out and about, so I chose a pair of black peek-a-boo toe wedges;  that way, I get the lift without the pain.

I love this fun peachy pink clutch from Sole Society.  I just received it in my latest Fix (not posted yet).  It has a strap too so I can use it as cross body bag.

Underneath my bomber jacket, I wore an old eyelet top from Old Navy.

So what do you think?  Is this a trend you'd like to try or is it a bit too much for you?  I'd love to hear from you!

Have A Great Day!  Amy

  1. I think they look really cute on you and make fun alternative to regular jeans especially for spring days or cooler summer days.

  2. Those jeans are so cute ! I love the wedges you paired with them, which gives them a fun summery vibe. I love how you can wear them with the jacket/scarf for a warmer look (in the morning and evening!) and go with just the tee midday.

    1. Thanks Carrie! I think on the day I wore this outfit I had that scarf on all day as our springs are much colder than yours in Missouri. It seems as if we don't have a spring at all most years.

  4. These jeans look wonderful on you. I like this outfit both with and without the jacket. The pink clutch is adorable. The open toe wedges you choose to go along with these ruffled hems jeans are so perfect. A great choice with these jeans, they look very chic. I do like wedges, they are a great way to wear heels without sacrificing our comfort.

  7. What cute jeans. I haven't seen any in real life in the UK yet. Yes I think I could but I fell for embroidered jeans and never wore the pair I bought. Thanks for linking to Muttonstyle Monday

    1. Thanks Jennie! I wouldn't have thought it either, but at that price, it was worth the risk. Too fun.

    1. Oh, I think it would be really simple to sew a ruffle on a pair of capris. Great idea! Thank you.

  11. So sorry it has taken so long for me to get by your blog. I have been caring for my mom with little Internet connectivity.

You styled these jeans perfectly. I think with the cute ruffle detailing on the pants, keeping your top and jacket unembellished was a good call. Allows the eye to concentrate on that darling cuff on the jeans. Super cute.

  12. This is such a fun trend! I have a few frill sleeve tees but nothing with the frill hem on my pants yet - it's not something I've seen around often but it looks great!

    1. Thanks Mica! I have seen ruffled hem jeans on Pinterest, but I've never seen anyone wearing them in my neck of the woods either. That's ok. I wear what I love!
