Bible Journaling, My August Pages: Revelation 16 through the End of the Book!

Once a month I like to share my Bible Journaling Pages and what God has been teaching me.  In the month of August I journaled from Revelation 16 though the end of the Inspire Bible..    Sometimes I just color in the preprinted images of the "Inspire Bible" (available on Amazon) and I also create my own pages.

Unless otherwise stated, all the images are colored in with either gel pens or colored pencils.  I tend to color larger areas with pencils then get the more intricate spots with pens.  I high light my Bible with gel highlighters, and I usually use gelatos or  craft paint for my backgrounds.

I did it gals!  I finished coloring every pre-printed image in the Inspire Bible, plus I actually read the whole book!  It took me awhile, I started in September 2018 and finished in August of 2022...so four long years!  Wow!  Now you're probably wondering what I'm gonna do next.  I did buy a brand new Bible that is a huge improvement from this Inspire Bible.  The margins are much wider for Bible Journaling, the illustrations are so much more my style, and it has a lot of extra pretty features like vellum pages.   But you know what?  I'm not ready to leave my old Bible and start a new one.  I've put so much of my heart and soul into this beat up old bible.  It has taken me through so many journeys the past four years, that I just can't part with it.  We've become old friends.  So I have decided to let my new Inspire Bible just sit and look nice and pretty on the shelf for a while, and I'm going to keep working in my old Bible till either it starts to fall apart or I feel it's time to move on.  Of course, since I've colored all the illustrations already, I will only be able to create my own pages, but that's fine with me.

Well,  let's finish all the pre-printed images of this book shall we?

First off is this "Worship" illustration.  So much in the book of Revelation are images of heaven and angels, and beings, and saints all worshipping Jesus;  so it is fitting that there is an illustration that just say's "Worship".

At this point in the book of Revelation, the raptured Christians, the martyred saints, the twenty four elders, and the four living creatures all join in heaven and celebrate the fall of the anti-christ and the world system that supported him.

So many people today are worried about climate change.  Don't be.  Did you know God will be making a new heaven and a new earth (Rev. 21:1).   Now that doesn't give anyone permission to purposefully harm the beautiful earth God has already given us, but you can take comfort in the fact that God will be re-creating an even more beautiful world to live in than we do now.

He is coming soon!  Amen!  Every day there are more and more signs that the Lord's return is imminent.  Are you ready?

At the very end of the Inspire Bible are these pretty pages to color in.  Aren't they gorgeous illustrations?  And what a perfect scripture to end the book.

Next month I will show you a new approach to Bible Journaling that I'm trying.  I'm not sure what I think of it yet, the jury is still out.

Have A Great Day!   Amy

    1. Thank you. I didn't leave a link to my new Inspire Bible because they don't sell the exact one anymore. I did find this leather one, which is the same one, but a lot more expensive than the one I purchased. https://www.amazon.com/Inspire-PRAYER-Bible-LeatherLike-Purple/dp/1496454979/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2FH258UIN9560&keywords=inspire+prayer+bible&qid=1664365181&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIzLjU3IiwicXNhIjoiMy4wOSIsInFzcCI6IjIuODkifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=Inspire+prayer%2Caps%2C135&sr=8-1

  6. Beautiful! I've never heard of this kind of Bible before, but what a cool idea for helping us slow down and savor the Word.

  7. Amy, as always, your pages are beautiful! Revelation has gone from being a book that scared me to a book that causes me to anticipate heaven and how God will orchestrate things now and in the future. I'll be curious to hear more about your new Bible journaling method. :)
