What I Wore In October

It is the end of one month and the start of a new month, so it's time for a monthly "What I Wore" post.  These posts are just a quick review of what I wore in real life.  Most of the time I just snap a picture of myself before I walk out the door, but sometimes someone is around to do it for me.  I'm continuously amazed at how popular these posts are.  I get more hits out of these posts than a more formal fashion shoot.  Who knew women would want to see selfies in front of a mirror of everyday looks?

This is an outfit I wore for a day of errands;  the typical shopping and lunch with hubby kind of day.

The coat is a new olive windbreaker I picked up at TJMaxx.  Everything else I'm wearing is old.  The pants are blue stretch cords from Stitch Fix that I apparently got a lot of use out of this month as they are in a lot of the pictures!

This plaid dress (JCP, old), red tights, and brown boots I wore to church.

This outfit you might have seen in a fashion post titled "Blue and Gold" that I featured earlier last month.  I wore it again when I was in Illinois visiting the kids and grand kids last week.  We went to a an animal rescue center.  It was such a beautiful place, hopefully when I'm done with my Utah Travel Series I can do a post on this special place.

I do love this gold cardigan I bought years ago.  It's such a great color for fall and it's so cozy.  I get compliments every time I wear it.  It's nice to buy a piece that has such longevity.

If you caught Monday's "Grandma & Me" post you would have seen this outfit.  I wore this to a farm in Illinois.  The top is new from TJMaxx, everything else is old.  I'm wearing the same blue stretch cords from Stitch Fix I have on in the first picture.  I love these pants!  They are so comfy.

This is an outfit I wore running errands when the weather was still warm.  I did put a jean jacket over it though.  The top is from Stitch Fix and everything else I'm wearing is very old.

I wore this NEW SWEATER shopping with my daughter and grand kids.  I just love this sweater from JCPenney.  It's nice and long so I wore it with blue leggings.

And finally, an outfit I wore both to church and on a fall hike with my hubby.  You may have seen this one too as I did a full fashion post on it.  I have those same stretch blue cords from Stitch Fix on.  See, I told you I wear them a lot!

Have A Great Day!  Amy

  6. Isn't it funny how you can spend so much time on something like putting together a great fashion post and going the extra mile for photography purposes and then the best responses come to what you've spent the least time doing? Your looks are all great but especially that long gold sweater - gorgeous! And your new striped sweater looks wonderful on you - great pick! Your little grandbabies are just precious!

  10. I love your gold chenille cardigan - so cosy for autumn! :) I always enjoy seeing outfit selfies and things people actually wore, it's interesting seeing the different ways people rewear things!

Hope that you are having a great weekend! We went for our annual family Christmas photo with Santa yesterday, with two kids and a dog it didn't quite go as planned, ha!

    1. You and everyone else it seems! Thanks so much. Yes, people seem to like seeing daily outfits. Perhaps it's because we all struggle with how to look put-together in everyday looks? I don't know. That's funny about the Santa photo.

    1. Thank you. Yes, we have snow on the ground. I was in Illinois for Halloween and it snowed two of the days I was there. Then when I got back home, it snowed here and hubby got in his first car accident. UGH! It's just too soon for snow!
