Bible Journaling For The First Week Of March

Tuesdays are the days I posts my crafty endeavors.  If I don't have a craft or a handmade card to share, I show my Bible Journaling Pages.  If your new to Bible Journaling and want to learn more about it, see this post HERE!  I use the Inspire Bible which has some pre-printed pages, that I can just color in, but I also venture off and get creative sometimes and create my own pages.

The first one is a pre-printed page.  I wanted to get creative with the background so I used different colors to highlight certain words and phrases.  I also used white gel pens on the stars.  I've tried all different mediums on my Bible pages and my favorites are gelatos and gel pens.  I just think they give the prettiest look.

This is a page I did myself.  As I was reading the chapter I was awestruck by God's unfailing love for us,  so I listed adjectives describing his unfailing love.  I hand drew the birds and notes by placing an image behind the thin Bible pages and tracing over them.

For this pre-printed page I used water color for the backgrounds and boat, and gel pens for for the words.

This page I did totally in gel pens.  They are perfect for doing fine detail work like this.  Colored pencils or markers would never work on this image.  The yellow background was done with a watercolor marker.

I water colored the background first using a bold, bright yellow watercolor marker, then I colored in the words using gel pens.

This page was also done with watercolor markers for the lighthouse image and background, and gel pens for the words.  I had a hard time understanding this chapter when I was done reading it, so I consulted my "Amateur Bible Scholar Husband" and he gave me some insights.  I didn't want to forget them if I'm ever glancing back at this chapter again so I wrote them in red in the right margin.  This is one of the many reasons I love this Bible...there is so much room to write and draw.

And my last page was done with all gel pens.  I love how bright and pretty it looks!

Have A Great Day!  Amy
