Stitch Fix #19: Tie Front Blouse

I received this pretty floral tie front blouse in my last Fix:  Stitch Fix #19.  I previously reviewed a cold shoulder dress from that same Fix on Friday's Fashion Post.  This is the second item I am reviewing from that box.

The top is by West Kei and is called "Julianne Tie Front Blouse".  It has a dark navy blue background and large peachy pink and orange flowers.  The cutest feature is the attached tie waist:  it really hides the tummy and makes me look like I actually have a waist.

I have to admit, I wasn't thrilled with how large the flowers were, but the blue background and front tie sold me on the blouse.

The tie is only on the front, not the back.  It looks like a regular tunic from the back.

I followed the style card that came with my Fix and wore the top with white jeans.  I carried this burnt orange bag to coordinate with the orange flowers in the top.  For jewelry, I chose a black/white bracelet and rose gold hoop earrings.  For footwear, I picked black peek-a-boo toe espadrille wedges.

I didn't have a whole lot of time to decide what to keep from this Fix because it arrived on a Friday and my husband and I were leaving for a weekend trip.  So other than the dress, I never tried anything on for my husband and had to make all the decisions myself of what to keep and what to send back.  And if you read any of my other Stitch Fix reviews, you would know I love my husband's opinion on what to keep because he is ALWAYS RIGHT!  haha!

I ended up keeping this top because I loved the tie front.  I also kept another top from this Fix in addition to the dress.   I will show you that top on Friday and do a review of the entire Fix then too!

    1. Thank you! I wish! I think they do have an affiliate program. Maybe I need to look into that. I'll have to try it with a skirt. Thanks for the suggestion.

  4. You know, if you told me that there was going to be a large tie in front of my stomach on a top I would think that there is no way that it would look good. But this top really is so flattering! And I always love a good floral. This is a great Stitch Fix keeper!

    1. Thanks Kristin! Yes, I think these tie front tops are perfect for women like me who are thicker in the middle and have a little tummy they are trying to conceal. The tie creates an illusion of a waist line and it hides the tummy bulge.

  5. I know what you mean about large floral prints, but this one looks AMAZING on you! The complete outfit is gorgeous! And I can't believe how well the color of the purse matches the flowers in the blouse.

    1. Thanks so much Ellie! Yes, the other details of the top outweighed the large floral print.

  6. Super, so super. The waist effect is so neat on the top and the whole look is pulled together nattily with the bag. And yes, making that decision on your own really worked. Hugs, x.
