Happy 4th of July everyone! I'm going to do just a quick fashion post of a 4th of July outfit, because I am out-of-town this weekend spending time with MY NEW GRAND BABY!!!!!! Yes, little Aletha arrived twelve days early so we hurried down to Illinois to meet her. She is absolutely precious! My daughter doesn't want me to post any pictures of her yet, but I will as soon as I get the go ahead!
In the meantime, here is an outfit I wore last Sunday when it was cold and rainy out. I thought it would make a great 4th of July outfit to see the fireworks at night too.
Yes, this is the same Perfect Summer Jacket you saw me wear in two other previous fashion posts HERE and HERE. As I said in that post, it really is the perfect summer jacket...it goes with everything!
I picked up my fun striped bag from CJBanks (no longer available).
The top I actually wore on another patriotic holiday...Memorial Day! Except then it was so warm out I wore it alone without the jacket and scarf. You can see that look HERE.
My jeans are also new this season. They are by Liz Claiborne sold at JCP.

Congratulations to the new parents and grandparents!! Hope baby and mommy are doing well!
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit for the 4th. A light jacket is always a must for me when it's time to watch the fireworks. Either it cooled off or it helps keep mosquitoes away. The attached hoodie is such a cute accents. Have fun getting to know your new granddaughter!
Thanks Elli! Mom and baby are doing great! She is absolutely precious. I sure know what you mean about the mosquitoes, last year they were so bad I couldn't stand it and went back to my car and tried to watch them from inside!
DeleteCongratulations on your new grand baby!! And this outfit is great for the 4th. Crazily enough, we are experiencing a lot of rain and even cooler temps in Georgia, calling for a cute jack such as yours! Enjoy time with your precious family edition and thank you for linking up with Fabulous Friday!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! Wow! Georgia is having cooler weather too...you guys are always so hot there. That is very odd.
DeleteHuge congratulations on Aletha, what an unique name. We cannot wait to see photos when you decide to share them. Talk about a fun 4th of July for you. That baby will be all the fireworks you need!
ReplyDeleteAnd your outfit is perfect for the breezy night to watch fireworks in. Great jacket, wedges and tote. I am wearing similar fun striped wedges in my current post too.
Thanks Ada, "Alethea" means "Truth". I hope to share baby pictures on Sunday! I did share a couple on Instagram too!
DeleteI've already congratulated you, but for such an event it doesn't hurt to give congratulations again!
