Wink Wink Ink July Challenge 'Handmade Embellishments'

Hello! It's the first Monday of the month so you know what that means: time for a new Wink Wink Ink Challenge! This month's challenge is to create a card or project and use at least one hand made embellishment. Well, I've been seeing these hand crafted paper flowers all over the place, so I decided it was the perfect time for me to try making one. After AN HOUR of cutting, shaping, rubbing, gluing, and sponging, I think I'll pay the four bucks and just keep buying my Prima Flowers! LOL! Sorry, but its just not worth the time!

For my card today, I used a new Freebie by Wink Wink Ink. You can find it HERE. My hand made embellishment is in the lower right corner. The paper is by DCWV 'The Spring Stack'. Here is a close up of the flower I made.
Here is a close up of the main image. I 'flocked' the cat tails. Are'nt they cute.

If you'd like to play along with us this month and earn a chance to receive some free digis, simply go to our new group site The Crafters Digital Art Center to receive further instructions.
Have a great day! Amy

  1. Your handmade flower is so beautiful. I made one similar the other day, but it seems too big for a card...maybe a gift. The little duckie is sooo cute...I have to jump on over to Wink Wink, they have the nicest digis. Very nice card Amy.

  5. Your flower turned out great and it's a fun accent to your card. But I do know what you mean. I also tried making one of these flowers and the end result was not great and ended up in the recycling bucket.
