Jordan's High School Scrapbook "The Art Pages"

For those of you who have been wondering if I ever finished my son's high school year book before his graduation party, the answer is 'yes', but with my daughter's help. She is quite the scrap booker and has a more 'artistic flair' than I do, and actually did most of the pages for me. Today I will showcase a double page spread that Ashley did that showcases the art work Jordan did in high school. Before the wedding, I use to put Jordan's art work on the sun room wall, which was the weight/exercise room. But it all had to come down for both the wedding and my 'future craft room' which is currently a work in progress and probably won't be done for at least a year. Well, I didn't want to throw away Jordan's Art, so I decided to photograph and scrap book it. I then took the pictures down, rolled them up and put them in a tube for safe keeping. Here is what all his art work looked like when it was on the wall:
Now here is a double page spread of Jordan's Art work that my daughter Ashley made. She used the DCWV paper 'The High School Stack' for the background.
Here is a close up of the first page. I love how she put a 'J' for Jordan on his locker.

Here is a close up of some of the details of the first page. The string is a silver cord, and there are two metal objects, one is a red bar brad and the other is a clip with Jordan's initial on it. She added standard paper clips as a 'school element'.

Here is the second page. More silver cord and paper clips were added for embellishement. The center photo is a self portrait of my son.

There will be plenty of more pages to come in future posts! Have a great day! Amy

  2. When I think of kid's artwork, I think of crayon drawings of flowers. But these are actual pieces of art. Wow. Your son is really good. No wonder you would want to preserve these. The page is fabulous. I really like the locker for the background. Your daughter is quite talented too for putting together these pages.
