Digital Tuesday Challenge: Male Cards

Welcome to another Tuesday, and another Digital Tuesday Challenge. Today's challenge is Male Cards. Make card for a boy or adult male using your digital images. Our sponsor this week is The Cutting Cafe and they are giving away three digital sets to one lucky randomly chosen winner. If you've never visited The Cutting Cafe before you really MUST go and check them out. They specialize in Shaped Cards that you simply print directly on your card stock and cut out. They have just about every shape you can image: stars, apples, pumpkins, school houses, etc. and they are very inexpensive too! So if you want to make your cards a little more creative than the normal shaped cards, go check out The Cutting Cafe!

For my card today, I used The Cutting Cafes Star Shape. What's really cool about this shape, is that it came with a 'shadow star' too. I cut my first star with white card stock for the card base, then I cut a second star with Chocolate Chip card stock, then I cut a smaller star, or 'shadow star' with DCWV designer paper 'All About Boys' and sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip ink. My image and sentiment are both from the 'Weiman Wranglers' digital set from Pink Cat Studio. They are both popped up on dimensionals. Here is a close up of the main image so you can see the coloring.

If you'd like to play along with us this week, simply click on the Digital Tuesday Challenge blinkie in my side bar and it will take you directly to the Challenge Blog where you can find further instructions. Have a great day!

  8. Too Too Cute! I love that you made a star shaped card to go with your cowboy image. Great patterned paper too.

I realize that I only mentioned the low points of my Eurpean trip. Overall, it wasn't that bad. I certainly got to see many places and things that weren't anything like I would see in the US. I went on the "Sound of Music" tour in Austria (one of my favorite movies) and stayed in a hostel in Germany that was built in 1192. I saw Anne Frank's hideaway in Amsterdam and traveled through the Swiss Alps. I went to the fjords in Norway and shopped in little open air cheese markets in Denmark. I don't think I have any photos of the trip, but I still have vivid memories of it.

I agree that going as an adult will be much more interesting. You can stay at nicer places and eat better food and afford to go to museums and such. I think my best advice would be that you and your friend not only spend time together but plan some alone time too. That way you won't grow too tired of each other.

I can't believe that you and your hubby have never spent more than a weekend apart. Wow. My hubby and I have had to spend lots of time apart. When he got his job transfer up to where we live now, I had to stay where we had lived to wait for our house to sell. It took 11 months. I only got to see Tim 1 or 2 days a week during that year.
