A Sunny Hello from Bitter Cold Wisconsin!

First of all, thank you to everyone for your encouraging comments and emails to me regarding my emotional melt down after my first day on the cash registers at work. I am proud to announce that my second day on the registers went so much better. We've been having some ugly winter weather here in Wisconsin the past few days, so things have been pretty slow at the store. That's bad for business, but good for me, cause I was able to relax a little and train more. I'm starting to understand how the register works a bit more, and I only had to call a manager to the registers to help me a couple of times. I was able to figure things out on my own most of the time. I am exceedingly thankful that all the managers at work have been so kind, patient, and understanding with me as I learn.
Now, onto my card. I actually made this a week ago and I am first getting around to posting it now. I used last week's sketch challenge on Splitcoaststampers. The stamp sets used are retired Stampin Up! 'Sparkling Summer', and 'Simply Summer'. The card stock colors are Cameo Coral, Tempting Turqoise, Wild Wasabi, and So Saffron'. I embossed the So Saffron panel with the Cuttlebug 'Swiss Dots' Embossing folder. The circles were cut with a Cuttlebug Die and mounted up on dimensionals. The image was colored with Copic Markers.
Well, just like I thought, I didn't make it into the MFT Idol Finals. I'm sure its because I didn't place the female figure on the card in the correct position. I still like my card though, but I will fix my error. Hopefully they'll have this challenge another time and I can try again. I'm looking forward to 'voting' for my favorite every week though! Have a great day! Amy

  1. I'm glad you are getting the hang of the registers and building yoru confidence.

I like the bright, summer colors of your card.
