Green Sweater and Chunky Knit Hat and Scarf

Last winter I was all about long winter cardigans, this winter I'm loving long sweaters...as long as they are thin,  not bulky.  I think I was turned off by pullover sweaters in past seasons because they were thick and short...making me look like the Michelin Man when I wore them.  But if they are a thinner knit and a longer length, I love and prefer them over a cardigan.

In my past two fashion posts I mentioned that I had purchased four new long sweaters at JCP for about $6.49 each after discount (those posts are HERE and HERE if you missed them).   Today I am showcasing a sweater that has a slightly thicker knit than the other three, but I bought it anyway because I like the color and thought it would make a good addition to my winter wardrobe.

Like my other two sweaters, it has an open weave so I have to wear a camisole underneath.

My hat, scarf, and bag are also new.  I invested in more hats and scarves this season  so I could easily change my winter look without having to buy lots of new clothes.

JCPenney had a winter accessory sale before Christmas .  All their hats, gloves, and scarves were $10.00 (The sale is still going on too!).  I love the chunky knit and long tassels of this scarf.  It looks handmade too, like someones grandmother spent hours knitting it.

The sweater is longer in back than in the front...that's always a feature I like!  I would feel very comfortable wearing this sweater with leggings since my backside would be sufficiently covered.

My daughter gave me this cute saddle bag for Christmas.  I just adore it!

My cognac riding boots I bought on clearance last year from JCP.

    1. Thanks Jill! I usually don't buy green, so there's not much of this color in my closet.
