A Quick and Simple Card

O.k. Is anyone else out there having problems logging onto Splitcoaststampers? I haven't been able to connect to that site for a day and a half now! I'm getting so frustrated! I'm going through SCS withdrawal! I can't play any of the challenges! I know its not my computer, because I can connect to all the other Internet sites, but every way I try to connect to SCS I get the message 'Were sorry, but Internet Explorer is unable to display this page'. I want to scream! UGH! I really, really, wanted to play the Inspiration Challenge today too! Darn it.
O.k. I vented. Now onto my card. I made this card for the Paper Craft Planet Sketch Challenge this week. Its a really quick and simple card because it was a clean and simple sketch. This is not my usual style, but I like how the card turned out and how easy it was to make. I simply took a piece of designer paper from 'A Pocket Full of Posies' Stack by DCWV and used that as my card base. Certainly Celery and So Saffron are the other two card stock colors uses. The sentiment is from Inkadinko. I added a large Prima Flower, Martha Stewart 'Wedding' Brad, and Dew Drops for embellishment. So quick and easy to make. If you like to make hand made cards, but don't like to do a lot of work, this is definitely the card for you.
Have a good day, and if anyone knows why I can't connect to SCS, please let me know! LOL! Amy

  2. Very pretty! The patterned paper and your big flower work perfectly together. And the pearl is a pretty accent. I do agree that CAS is the way to go for quick cards. I have been really getting into them lately (as you have seen on my blog). I kind of feel like I'm "cheating" though when I only take 10 or 15 minutes for a card and I don't have umpty umpt layers. But it's also so satisfying. And I can make a lot more cards for donation this way.

As for SCS, I find that Friday nights and Saturdays they are often bogged down with heavier traffic. I did have a hard time getting on early today, but early this morning and after about 2 was no problem. I think they just have way more people on this weekend for the Virtual Stamping thing and it's tying up the bandwidth.
