Hi everyone! Sorry I've been MIA for a few days, but I've been super busy with work and all of my son's many activities. Spring is a busy time in the garden, and as many of you
already know, I have a HUGE perennial flower garden, so I might have to spend a lot less time in my craft room until the spring gardening chores are done. Its too wet to work outside today, so hopefully I can make a few cards before I go to work tonight.

Both of my cards for today's post are for
Splitcoaststampers (
SCS) Challenges. The first card is for both the sketch and color challenge. The image is
Stampin Up! 'Season of Friendship'. I put little adhesive crystals in the centers of all the flowers. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. The
card stock and ink colors are: Bordering Blue, So Saffron, Pink
Pirouette, and Close to Cocoa.
My second card is for the Featured Stamper Challenge on
SCS. This week's featured stamper is
jaymerz, you can see her original card here:
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1260426?cat=500+ppuser=86428 I changed the paper, sentiment, buttons and eliminated the piercing and sidewalk (only because I have no idea how she made the sidewalk, but I sure wish I knew!) otherwise its the exact same card and layout. Why mess with a good thing?
Have a great day! Amy
great cards :)
ReplyDeleteBoth are adorable Amy! Love your paper piecing! How nice to get out in those gardens again I bet!! I finally made a few cards last evening ... let me know what you think. Have a great day ...
ReplyDeleteLove them both, Amy!
ReplyDeleteI really like the tree card. I absolutely had to have this set, then I think I have used it once. I like it with the flowers all over. I like your paper pieced rain lady. I think that Jamie would have colored the sidewalk in grey then gone over certain areas with a black marker to make the "grout lines". That's my best guess anyway.
ReplyDeleteYesterday was our first nice spring day here. We spent hours in the garden cleaning out the fallen leaves and cutting back the dead foliage from the perennials. This is the part of gardening I hate most. And that's why I have a hard time getting started on it. But with hubby picking up all the debris as I worked, it makes it more bearable. I also did a lot of raking to clean out the thatch from the lawn.
Btw... speaking of spring and gardens, when are you going to change that banner photo of yours? Enough snow already! :-)
These are both fabulous!
ReplyDeleteAmy, these are so great! I love the colors and layouts, and the paper pieced coat is fantastic! :)
