Inspired Daisies

This is for a Featured Stamper Challenge (FS105) on Splitcoaststampers that is already several weeks old. I'm still trying to play catch-up on all the challenges I've missed due to a heavy work schedule. Anyway, the Featured Stamper that week was kdunbrook, and you can see her original card here: I picked this card because I really liked how she used white craft ink and rounded the corners of her designer paper. My card looks almost exactly the same as hers, except I changed the ribbon, designer paper, sentiment and background stamp.
To make my card I started with a Very Vanilla Card Stock Base. I stamped the background stamp (Stampin Up! 'Sanded') onto Kraft paper using White Craft Ink. The designer paper is Stampin Up! Riding Hood Red. I used a corner rounder to round the edges. The sentiment is also stamped with White Craft Ink. The main image panel is mounted up on dimensionals. I used Stampin Up! markers directly on the stamp to color the image. To make the image overhang the panel, I stamped it twice: once on the main image panel, and the second time on a piece of scrap card stock. I then cut out the separate flower pieces and glued them to the main image panel.
Well, off to visit today's Featured Stamper's Gallery. I have no idea who was chosen yet this week, but I heard her gallery is HUGE! Oooh, imagine the possibilities! Amy

  1. This is so cute ... wow, lots of cutting out ... great job!!

  2. You really did capture the original card. I like your choice of patterned papers. So fun. And I love the white ink on the kraft with the sanded bg. I've been thinking about getting that stamp, but after seeing this, it definitely moves to the top of my wish list.

  3. Very pretty card! I love the out-of-the-box cutting. :)
