4 x 6 Upright January Scripture Calender

If you read yesterdays post, I introduced acrylic calenders. Yesterday I posted a 5 x 7 calender. Today's calender is a 4 x 6 Scripture Calender. This calender will not only be a nice decorative accent for your home, but will also help you memorize scripture. If you commit one verse to memory per month, you'll have 12 scriptures completely memorized by the end of the year! January's verse is from Phillipians 4:13 "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." This is one of my favorite verses, and I recite it to myself often whenever I feel insecure about something. The verse is from the retired Stampin Up! set "Elegant Inspirations".
To make the calender page, first I stamped the retired Stampin Up! Set "Lace Snowflakes" all over the background in versamark. I then sprinkled white embossing powder on and heat set it. I then stamped the verse in both versamark and Night of Navy ink, sprinkled clear embossing powder on it, and heat set that. I cut my snowflakes out with the new Cuttlebug Cut and Emboss Die 'Icicle' and the older small snowflake die. I put dazzling diamonds on all the cut out snowflakes using heat and stick powder. I adhered the big snowflake with a brad and all the little snowflakes with glue. The smaller calender I downloaded from this site: http://www.craftysecrets.com/images/pattern%20pics/2009%20calender.pdf
Tomorrow I hope to show you a 4 x 6 horizontal picture calender, that is if I post at all. My best friend and I have plans to go to the annual Cranberry Festival in Warrens, Wisconsin. Its quite the adventure. The crowds are so thick you could stand in place for 5 minutes without moving an inch! I love it! Its basically a gigantic fair for artisians and crafters, if I pick up anything interesting, I'll be sure to post it and let you know! Until then, Amy
