Black Floral Stitch Fix Dress: Fix #14

I received this cute black floral dress in my February Stitch Fix box.  I loved it the minute I saw it in the box!  The print was so lovely and I liked the cute and "flouncy" look.  It's super comfortable too! I'm sure when the weather turns hot and sunny (will that even happen this year?)  I will be living in it!


It is sleeveless, so it will be great for hot weather.  Yet because there are no sleeves, a cardigan or coat will fit nicely over it if needed.  I also like that it does not have spaghetti straps so I can wear a regular bra with it.  It has a keyhole neckline which provides another interesting detail.


It's not warm enough yet to wear this outfit in Wisconsin so this look was put together for photography purposes only.


For jewelry, I skipped a necklace because of the interesting keyhole neckline and I just wore a coral colored bracelet and earrings with rose gold earrings.


I thought my orange bag complimented the orange/coral flowers in the dress nicely.


The dress has an elastic waist.  I put a skinny black belt over the elastic portion of the dress.


I picked up these cute black sandals at an end of season clearance sale at JCPenney last fall.


The upper portion of the back is a solid black.


The dress is the perfect length for running around about town on a hot summer day:  not too long or too short.

    Yes I think you made the right choices of what you kept/sent back. Today's dress is beautiful with the pretty floral print and great lengths. Loving that purse too!!

    I love those dresses and that pretty wrap blouse is just gorgeous. I do love that lavender vest on you though! Maybe looking for one with a tie or something would help because you look beautiful in it!

    Definitely one of those perfect dresses that works for so many things! Dressy, casual, and goodness does being able to wear a normal bra make a huge difference in how much I wear something! Haha and I also agree with all your Stitch Fix choices. That lavender top is stunning on you!

      Thank you! Isn't that the truth about bras? I have so many tops or dresses I don't like to wear simply because I can't wear a normal bra. Designers need to think that through a little more when designing clothes...or make clothes with built in bras...wouldn't that be simple?

    I love the dresses you kept! Hopefully it warms up for us soon and we can wear our spring clothing! I can't believe how ridiculously cold it is lately! I worry we will skip right over spring and go straight into the hot humid summer!

    Oh my goodness you had a great fix! Those jeans do look just like mine. haha But I think keeping that wrap top and dress were a definitely plus. You look amazing in both of those. And score on the JC Penney's sandals because they are super cute. We actually have a JCP here in town and I never think to go there.
