A Pretty Red Skirt

I'm not one for "Pretty" clothes, but every now and then I enjoy putting on a old-fashioned midi skirt and heels and feeling "Pretty".  This is an outfit I wore on an afternoon date with my husband.  I first wore it out to breakfast and church, then we went on a stroll along the Eau Claire River Walk.  I plan on doing a travel post on that soon because it has been recently completed and it is absolutely gorgeous!

My skirt is new this season, it is from CJBanks.   I bought it at the same time I purchased my blue chambray skirt HERE, and yes, this one is also a tad too big, but I think it will be an easy fix.  I just have to open up the elastic waist and make it tighter.

It is an absolutely gorgeous skirt.  I love the color!  It has an beautiful embossed and eyelet detail in the hemline that is hard to see in the photos.

I purchased this skirt for only $14.99 when CJBanks was having a huge sale.  If you think you'd like to shop at CJBanks but they are a bit on the high side for you, sign up for their emails.  They have regular sales and clearance prices that are absolutely amazing!  I wouldn't be able to buy anything there if it wasn't for their sales!

I wore my skirt with a white eyelet top from JCPenney (old) to coordinate with the eyelet in the hem of the skirt.  I added a sun hat (old, JCP) and white sunglasses (old, JCP) because we were outside walking in the sun.

My sling back wedge sandals are super old, and super comfortable.  I was able to wear them for most of the day, but I did bring a pair of sneakers to change into in case they started to get uncomfortable.  See that look below.

My striped bag from CJBanks (no longer available) went perfectly with my outfit.  I wore a white seeded bracelet on my wrist (old).

And here is the look with sneakers for those of you who are interested.  They are my nude Adidas NEO Courtset Sneakers I bought for my Myrtle Beach Vacation I took in the spring.  Love these sneakers!

We had such a great day!  I can't wait to tell you more about it.  It's amazing how much fun you can have in your own hometown!

Have a Great Day!  Amy

    1. Thanks Jodie. I've actually never really liked my hometown and we've lived here about 25 years. But they have really done some amazing renovations downtown and new developments making this a really hip place! I'm starting to actually love it here, and I never thought I'd say that!
