What I Wore To The Zoo

My husband surprised me Labour Day weekend and took me to a zoo up north that we had never been to before.  I love animals, so this was a real treat for me.  This zoo was so much fun, we were able to get up close to so many animals, and we were able to pet so many different kinds of animals too.  My husband even got to feed a bear!  But I will share more on the zoo in a future travel post, for today is all about what I wore.

It's was a fairly hot day when these pictures were taken, so I wore a sleeveless shirt, shorts, and sandals.  If you recognize this top it's because I just showed it to you in THIS POST where I styled it three different ways.

This is such a cool and comfy top because it's loose so on hot days the air can circulate through and I don't have anything clingy to my skin.  It has such a pretty and unique lace back and neckline.  There are better close ups of the details of this top on my previous post;  we were enjoying ourselves too much this day to take serious fashion photos.

I like that this outfit appears as if I'm dressed up, because the top is shiny and detailed, yet it's still  casual and comfortable enough for the zoo because of the shorts and sandals.

The shorts are from last season, they are by Liz Claiborne.  I carried a nude cross body bag because I love to have my hands free bags when traveling!  The boho sandals are so old, I don't even remember when I got them or where.  The necklace is from an old Stitch Fix.

After our visit to the zoo, we walked through town a bit and I spotted this pretty red house.  What a perfect backdrop it made for my purple top and white sunnies!

Have a Great Day!  Amy

  5. Looks like a fun day at the Zoo, and perfect outfit too! The back of the shirt is so pretty! I looked for it here in town and online, but they only had "tall" and I am leaning towards petite. Oh well, I probably don't need a new shirt anyway!

    1. Thanks Elli! We had so much fun this day. I can't wait to do a full travel post about it. Sorry you couldn't find the top at your JCP. They get items in and out so fast it's hard to keep up.
