Two of my personal favorite fabrics for summer are gauze and linen. They both are lightweight airy fabrics that keep you cool and dry when the temperatures rise.
These pictures were taken last February when I was in Florida visiting my children. I waited until now to post them because no one is interested in looking at summer outfits in the middle of winter.
You have seen both the top and shorts in numerous fashion posts as I wear them quite often. I would say they are summer staples for me. You can see how I styled the shirt with khaki pants HERE and white jeans HERE. And you can see how I wore the shorts with a floral top HERE and a chambray top HERE.
To keep with the beachy vibe I have going on, I wore a seashell necklace that I made myself. I used an actual seashell that I found at Pensacola Beach and simply added a purchased ribbon necklace and other hardware to make it a necklace. You can see the full tutorial of how I made this necklace HERE.
I wish my daughter or I would have noticed that the closure part of the necklace was showing when we were taking photographs; but we didn't.
On my wrist I wore a multi-strand beaded bracelet and carried a nude cross body bag.
For footwear, I chose brown flat strappy sandals.

Thank you!
DeleteLooks like a wonderful and comfy summer outfit. Love the longer sleeves on the shirt, very helpful in keeping some mosquitoes off your skin but still keeping you cool.
ReplyDeleteSuch a simple outfit yet so chic. Need to try tan or khaki with orange. I must say how beautiful does that ocean look! Also, like you I love Linen and Gauze for Summer and I have added several pieces in both materials, this year. =)
ReplyDeleteAmy, this outfit has just the perfect easy, casual beach vibe! I love the red and khaki together, too. And that necklace is adorable!
