Wink Wink Ink 'Holiday Peace'

Hello! Sorry I've been absent from my own blog and from visiting your blogs for awhile. My life is just out-of-control with business right now. I've been working 40 hours a week which is really a 50 hour work week for me because of the one hour commute, and I had so many projects to work on and appointments to keep this week that I'm at the brink of exhaustion. Yesterday I got home at 9:00 p.m. and just collapsed into bed immediately and fell into a deep, dark sleep for 10 1/2 hours. That shows you how tired I am! I have the day off today, but I'm back to work for the weekend again! Anyway, enough personal stuff, today I have a card to show you that uses a new Wink Wink Ink image called 'Holiday Peace'. I just love the cat and mouse in this image. It reminds me of my own house: filled with mice and a cat who does nothing about it! LOL! A few days ago my husband put a mouse trap on our kitchen counter and within 40 minutes he caught a mouse! That shows you how bad it is. And before you all go and think I am a terrible housekeeper, I assure you my house is immaculate, we just live in a house that's over 100 years old and in the country. There is just no way of keeping those critters out. Ugh, I just realized I went on another tangent. Back to my card. I used a Verve sketch, I colored the image with Copics and added Stickles to the star and adhesive crystals to the tree. The sentiment is up on dimensionals. The paper is Basic Grey 'Jovial Paper Pad'. Here is a close up so you can see all the details betters.

As always, this image comes both in black and white and pre-colored. It was super easy to color because the shading in the tree is already done for you! It also comes with several different sentiments.
Have a great day! Amy

  1. This is my all-time favorite card of yours! WOW!!!!

As for the mice....don't feel bad. They're trying to get in out of the cold. I'm hearing all kinds of people having issues with this. Get a cat! ;)

  8. Very cute and old fashion-y imae. I like how you added the rhinestones.

I agree, cleanliness has nothing to do with mice infestation if you live in the country. They are looking for a nice, warm place to live. They can always find food. We had a mouse problem when we bought our house because not only is it an older house but it had been vacant for quite a while. Although we have great mousers in our cats, I was still sick of them being around. We found out the main places they were coming in and stuffed tin foil in those holes. Mice will not chew through tin foil so it keeps them out. I know they are still under the house but I can't do much about that. Now my problem is the critters my cats catch outsides and bring inside - sometimes dead, sometimes alive.... chipmunks, squirrels, flying squirrels, bats, mice, shrews, toads, snakes... and that's just this week!
