Christmas in July!

Greetings to all my friends in blog land. I'm sorry I haven't posted much this week. We are busy converting our entire store from Spring to Fall, so I have been working constantly. Too say I'm exhausted would be an understatement. So because I have been working so much, I haven't had time to breathe, much less make cards. But I did want to post all the Christmas Cards that I have been working on for the past two months. As most of you already know, I belong to a Christmas Card Club on Splitcoaststampers. I make five Christmas Cards a month all year long, so I don't have to make them all at once in December. Here are 7 of the cards I've made for the months of June and July.

The first one uses an image from Crafty Secrets 'Sweet Kids'. I have liquid applique on the snow and Stickles on the snow and snowflakes.
My second card uses digital images from Angel's of my favorite new digital image companies. This little guy is 'hinged' so his arms and legs move. This set is called 'Marching Band 2'.

My third card uses an a retired Stampin Up! image that I received from a friend on Splitcoaststampers. Unfortunately, because I don't own the stamp set, I don't know the name of it. Sorry.
My fourth card was made for a Featured Stamper Challenge on Splitcoaststampers. You can see the original card HERE. The Featured Stamper was B-gin-R. I changed the image and the designer paper, but otherwise left it the same. I used retired Stampin Up! sets 'Festive Friends' and 'Happy Holidays' to make my card. There is glitter on the snow, and the designer paper is retired Stampin Up! 'Holiday Treasures'.

This card was also made for a Featured Stamper Challenge on Splitcoaststampers. You can see this original card Here. I changed the image, and added a ribbon/sentiment/tag, but otherwise, kept the same original design. The snowman is a digital image from Digital Stamp Oasis. It was actually a freebie on Ellie's blog. You can find the link in my last post.

The Santa Xmas Card was created for a Sketch Challenge on Splitcoaststampers. The main image is retired Stampin Up! 'Holiday Woodcuts'. The designer paper is retired Stampin Up! 'Holiday Treasures'.

And my last card uses retired Stampin Up 'Always on my Mind' and more 'Holiday Treasures' designer paper. I've loved that paper all year, and will miss it terribly when I'm completely out. I hope the new Stampin Up! Xmas Paper works just as well for me as this one did.

Well I hope you enjoyed looking at all my Christmas Cards today. Have a great day! Amy

  1. WOW Amy you sure have been busy, what a group of BEAUTIFUL Christmas cards...lucky people for sure will get these this year!! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

  2. Hey Amy ... seems Crystal always beats me to the punch on commenting ... I'll have to talk to her about that!! LOL (I do know her ... she's a local gal).

Anyways ... your cards are awesome! I thought your hours were cut at the store ... seems that hasn't happened yet! At least you will be ahead of the game come holiday time ... good for you!!

  3. These are all beautiful Amy. I commend you for making and keeping such a wonderful commitment. Your friends and family will be so excited to receive these in December. By the way...the little ice skating girl is so cute.

  4. These are incredible Amy! I commend all you girls that can do Christmas cards in the summer. I'll be one of the ones in a panic in November! :o) Tracy

  5. I figured you must have been busy since you hadn't posted anything in almost a week. Isn't it funny how far in advance the stores try to get in the products for the next season. I went to Hobby Lobby when I was in North Carolina and they were setting up for Christmas stuff. It's only July!

Good for you for keeping up with your Christmas card challenge. Each card is really terrific. I like the liquid applique on the first card, the hinged arms and legs on the second, the vintage look of the third, the glittery snow on the fourth, the embossed background on the fifith, the sketch you used on the sixth and the dsp you used with the image on the last card. See, I really did look at each one!

  6. All stunning cards...totally gorgeous.
Hope work slows down for you soon, its no good all work and no play!!
    Emma x

  7. Your Christmas cards are fabulous!! I participate in the CCC group on SCS too! I am always down to the wire making my five cards for the month!! I will have to case some of yours in the next couple of months!! TFS!

  8. Great cards! My favorite is the Holiday Woodcuts card. I've always wanted that set, but waited until it was retired (doh!) to realize how much! Fortunately, I found it in the buy/sell/trade forum on Splitcoast, so I have it! I have those papers, too - may have to CASE this!
