Spring Instagram Round-Up!

It's been awhile since I've done an "Instagram Round-Up", so I thought I would do one for you today. And if you're wondering "What is an Instagram Round-Up?" they are pictures (selfies) of my everyday outfits that are posted to my Instagram Stories under the hashtag #OOTD (Outfit of the Day).  Most style bloggers do an #OOTD outfit because readers like to see what we wear on our ordinary days.

I will mention the stores or brands of the items I am wearing because I know everyone is always curious where people shop, but I won't include links because everything I am wearing in the pictures below is either old or sold out.

This is an outfit I wore to a ladies church brunch at some one's home.

Pants:  Burgundy Jeggings - Stitch Fix,  Tops - JCPenney

I wore this outfit to church on a cold spring day.  I'm sure you've heard me say it many times before but when the weather is still cold, yet the calendar says it's spring, I dress warm, but with light, spring colors.

Cardigan - CJBanks, White Shell Top - Calvin Klein, Embroidered Jeans - Younkers, White Boots - Francescas .

This is an outfit I wore just to run into town to have my hair done.  That is why my hair looks so different.  I can never get it to look this way on my own.
The top is a short sleeve velvet tee from JCPenney,  white jacket - CJBanks, same embroidered jeans and boots above.

Here I wore the same jacket and booties as I did above but with a coral sweater and pearl embellished jeans.

I wore this look to go shopping.

Top - TJMaxx,  pants - Liz Claiborne,  flats - Payless Shoe Source .  On a side note, I can't believe Payless is going-out-of-business, can you?  I have rarely shopped there in the last few years, but I remember shopping there a lot in my younger years.  Other than Walmart, there aren't many low cost shoe stores available anymore and it makes me wonder where a lot of people will be able to get more inexpensive shoes.

This is an outfit I wore to church.

Blazer and shell - CJBanks,  jeans - a.n.a. JCP,  booties - Blowfish

Well, I can tell by hair that this is an outfit I wore to get my hair done!  ha ha!

White sweater - JCPenney,  lace cami - CJBanks,  eggplant leggings - Stitch Fix,  black booties.

Another church outfit!

White choker top - JCPenney, red pants - Stitch Fix, black wedges - JCPenney.

And yet again, another church outfit.  Can you tell what a boring life I lead?  Seriously, the only time I leave the house is to go to church, shop, or get my hair done!  ðŸ¤£ And, I like it that way!!!  I'm a homebody.

Black embroidered bomber jacket - JCPenney, floral top - Ross, black pants - Stitch Fix, black wedges - JCPenney

This is an outfit I threw on just to pick my husband up after work and grab a quick dinner at Subway. Yea!  I did something different!

Nautical sweater - JCPenney,  jeans - a.n.a JCPenney, loafers - Dr. Scholls

And finally, here is an outfit I wore on a rainy shopping day.  Of all my daily outfits I've shown you, this outfit got the most compliments from strangers.  It always surprises me what outfits people tend to like the most.  Most women commented on how much they loved the scarf or boots!  Accessories do matter!  A cute scarf or a great pair of shoes can make an outfit.

Utility jacket - Stitch Fix, scarf - ?, distressed boyfriend jeans - JCPenney, white sweater - Talbots, booties - Francesca's.

Four Months of Instagram Selfies!

Since I took a blogging break, I haven't been taking fashion photos of my outfits.  I have however tried to take selfies of my "Outfit Of The Day" and posted them to my Instagram Stories.  Here are some of those outfits.

This is a new knit top I picked up at our town's Younkers "Going Out Of Business" sale.  I think I paid only $3.00 for this top. It is super comfy with flutter sleeves and pretty embroidery.  Hopefully this spring I'll have an opportunity to wear it again and show you better pictures of it.  I paired it with olive green skinny jeans and brown suede booties.

I also picked up these unique ruffled hem jeans at the Younkers "Going Out of Business Sale".   I'm not sure I like them.  I got a lot of weird looks the day I wore them.  Funny thing is, when I see these jeans on other women, I think they are cute, but on me I'm a bit uncomfortable wearing them.  I never would have purchased such a trendy item had they not been so cheap.  I could always take the ruffle off and wear them like capris too.

This was a new top I bought at JCPenney, but I no longer own it because I gave it to my daughter.  It was one of those items that I loved in the dressing room mirror but when I saw pictures of myself in it later I didn't like it.  The seam was constantly riding up and going right across my bust instead of under it.  The only way I could wear it was if I were constantly mindful of pulling it down.  I decided it was better suited for my pregnant daughter than for me.

When the controversy over the song "Baby, It's Cold Outside" was going on, I decided to show my support for the song by wearing this holiday sweater to church.

And that's just a few outfits I've been wearing the past few months!  Which one was your favorite?

Some Of My "Instastories" Outfits

My daughter and granddaughter have been staying with me the past two weeks, along with other family members popping in and out plus I have a good friend's sons wedding to help decorate for and attend, so I have been super busy and very over-whelmed.  It's been a fun two weeks that I wouldn't trade for anything, but I've really been struggling keeping up with everything, especially my blog.  I've had no time to take and edit professional photos of outfits, so I decided to do a "Instastory Round-up" post instead.

These are all outfits I wore out for lunch, shopping, running errands, or to church.  I took selfies and posted them in my Instastories on Instagram, but I never did a formal fashion post on these outfits;  mostly because they are old outfits that I probably showed you before.

This is a Liz Claiborne dress I wore on a hot day to meet my husband for lunch and shopping.

I wore this pretty bird print dress from Francesca's to church.  I added a coordinating blush headband and blush jewelry.

Another outfit to wear shopping and lunch with hubby.  It's a denim pencil skirt with a plaid, sleeveless gauze top.

The weather cooled down a bit for awhile, so I pulled out my white jeans when I went shopping.  My mint cold shoulder top is from Ross.  I wore my comfy, silver athletic sandals for a long day of walking!

And finally, this is an outfit I wore when we took my granddaughter Alethea to a local park.

IF I remember, I try to post my daily outfits on Instagram in my Instastories every Wednesday and Sunday.  Unfortunately, most of the time I'm in a hurry to get out of the house and I forget...haha!  If you're interested in my daily outfits, you can follow me on Instagram HERE!
