Every holiday I love to make a gift basket for my grandchildren. This year I had some small odds and ends I wanted to throw in the basket but not get lost, so I decided to put those in separate fabric treat bags. If you're a sewer like me, you probably have enough fabric in your house to open your own fabric store. I already had some cute Halloween fabric so creating treat bags was quick and easy!
To make my treat bags I followed this tutorial
HERE! I also made my own tags using a tag die and some fall stamps.
My granddaughter is a little skittish, so I kept her bag and tag more generic and just used Halloween colors, but for my grandson, I used a fabric with some friendly spiders and his tag is more spooky.
Have A Great Day! Amy

Perfect! And though your granddaughter's isn't spooky like the one for your grandson, it's still festive enough for Halloween. I like them both! Thanks so much for linking up at #IMadeItMondayLinkParty 28. Pinned.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Yes, Alethea's is still Halloween themed

ReplyDeleteThese are so fun and cute!! Not a fan of the real freaky Halloween stuff as I know you aren't either, but the spider is really fun! And what a great way to use your leftover fabric!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ellie! No, I don't like a scary Halloween at all.
DeleteThese are very cute! Any child would love to receive goodies in one of these. Thanks for linking
ReplyDeleteThank so much!
DeleteWhy, oh, why didn't I listen when my mom tried to teach me to sew. I did make that one dress but that was it!! These little bags are so cute. Great way to gather the little Halloween things you have for the kids in one festive bag. I have bought my babies Halloween books this year. Isn't being a grandmother wonderful fun?
ReplyDeleteI learned to sew in Home Ec and through Parks and Recreation Classes. Once you learn the basics, you just keep challenging yourself by doing harder and harder projects. The books so fun! Yes, I love being a grandmother.
DeleteSo sweet. The girls are going to love them.
ReplyDeleteThank you!

DeleteI am a sewer, too, and I'm already working on Christmas bags! You're right about being able to open a fabric store. It kind of takes over, doesn't it? Love your treat bags!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to meet a fellow fabric collector! Yes, it does take over. Thanks so much!
